After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (series star STEPHEN AMELL) was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the North China Sea. Oliver returned home to Star City, bent on righting the wrongs of his family and fighting injustice. As the Green Arrow, he protects his city with the help of former soldier John Diggle (series star DAVID RAMSEY), computer science expert Felicity Smoak (series star EMILY BETT RICKARDS), his vigilante-trained sister Thea Queen (series star WILLA HOLLAND), former police captain Quentin Lance (series star PAUL BLACKTHORNE) and brilliant inventor Curtis Holt (new series regular ECHO KELLUM). Newly appointed Mayor Oliver Queen finds himself challenged as he fights on two fronts for the future of Star City. With Diggle back in the military and Thea adamant about hanging up her hood as Speedy, Team Arrow is down to just Oliver and Felicity -- but they're no longer the only vigilantes in town. The Green Arrow's public defeat of Damien Darhk (guest star NEAL McDONOUGH) at the end of Season Four has inspired a new crop of masked heroes to step up and defend the city, though their painful inexperience makes them obstacles, rather than allies, in the field. The arrival of a deadly new adversary will force Oliver to confront questions about his own legacy, both as mayor and as the Green Arrow. Loved this series!
I loved this season of arrow - it was very gripping! In this series they introduce some new characters that join Oliver and Diggle in the field and the 'bad guy' is much better than in series 4. The plot is much better than 4 and more flashbacks about Oliver's past are shown. This series does end on a cliffhanger though, so if you buy this series you may want to start looking for series 6 as well which continues where 5 is left. The DVD itself came quickly and was in excellent condition. I would definitely recommend this series to anybody who has watched the previous series of arrow as this series was excellent (way better than 4!) and i would recommend Arrow to anybody who has seen any DC/marvel shows or anyone looking for an interesting and exciting show!

WATCH FOR JOSH
Absolutley brilliant. The quality is crispy, really clear. This makes the season more enjoyable as it is already my favourite season. Love Adrian Chase, Josh Segarra is my boyfriend.

Great series. If you've watched it this far you're obviously enjoying it. I liked that we got to go back and meet some characters from earlier series, but not sure what I think of the "new" team Arrow. I just find them all a bit annoying! Also, I feel the Oliver/Felicity dynamic is being a bit overplayed. Will they won't they has already been done to death, and since they already have, we should probably just move on, actually. It's OK for characters to be in a relationship, it doesn't spoil the plot! Anyway, good as always, looking out for the next one.

All good...
As a big comic book fan, I am always happy to see them made into "real" stuff. Arrow is one of the better storylines that are currently around on TV when it comes to DC stuff. I hope they keep up the good work as the last two seasons were more like a bummer, but that is my own opinion. Nevertheless, there is always enough action and Hollywood drama to ensure everyone watching is happy in the end, wanting more. :-) Packaging: be careful with the DVDs inside, mine keep coming of their holster thingie making them move and scratch when I move the DVD box. :-(

We've come full circle
The five years from Hell is coming to an end in Oliver's flashbacks. Oliver will make alliances and he will break them. Diggle warned Oliver early on that his early crusade as the Hood, influenced by the death and regrets of his father, would come back to haunt him. He wasn't wrong. There's a new threat in town. Prometheus is coming. And they're about to turn Oliver's world upside-down. A must watch series of the Arrow. No-one is safe. Not even the Green Arrow. But who is Prometheus? And why do they want Oliver Queen dead?

thrilling high tec stuff
Seen all seasons so far as thet seem more grpping and compelling as with new villains and heroes rising up from everywhere coming back front the dead. Villains intent on causing mayhem and violence on the scene. A little over the top sometimes in episodes I the downside is catch ups at start of episodes. Many twists and turns afar as you can imagine. It's amazing how oliver queen is still alive with been shot, stabbed and tortured, explosions. Still plenty of action with great imagination goes into the stories.

Terrible New Characters plus every single episode is filled with negativity and graphic violence
All of the "New Team" never seems to connect with the viewer or the story. Terrible casting of new characters and Graphic violence continuously makes me want to watch something more uplifting. This is the worst season the Arrow has presented, period. The series used to be somewhat fun and cleaver, but that is all missing. I'm not sure why I have watched the first 16 episodes but I was hoping it was going to get better and have something redemptive happen. Hasn't happened yet.
