It works but not well made !!
Once these are hung up they are lethal , but getting them up takes a bit of patience, know how and ingenuity !! Open the lid and hold it in your left hand while slowly turning the container in your right hand clockwise while pulling the gummy paper out slowly. The paper came out of every container I tried , and once out I retained it back into the container using a drawingpin. First through the flypaper and then through the side of the plastic container !! Yes your hands are going to get really messy and sticky but I found that hot water and a household surface cleaner (not bleach) then some soap and a scrubbing brush did the trick effectively and quickly !!!Within about 4 hours I returned to check the papers , and to my pleasant surprise there were about 20 to 30 flies stuck to them. Our lunch break was one of the most pleasant we’d had for weeks if not months !!! 1 solitary fly seemed to have managed to avoid its demise , but hopefully it will suffer the same fate as it’s friends in the coming days !!!! Designers just have to go back to the drawing board to iron out a few niggling problems , the biggest one being anchoring the end of the tape to the inside of the plastic container !!!But it works folks……..boy does it work !!!!!👍

Beware
I bought a pack of these and sadly they didn’t work because they were dried up and so not sticky. Flies landed and just flew off again.I then bought from a local shop and those were fine. I hope you have better luck.

Absolute rubbish
These tapes come in a cardboard tube. The instructions are to remove the tape from the tube whilst rotating anti clockwise. The tape does unwind but returns to a horrible messy sticky coil when hung. No attempt to uncoil works and you end up in a gooey mess. There is no fly attractant therefore the only way that this works is if a fly accidentally flies into it. The tape is very sticky and effective for catching flies if they fly onto it but hung for 3 days and three flies caught. Absolute rubbish and complete waste of money. To add to that, a box of 16 was ordered but the box was missing 8.

They're alright I guess
Not the best product. The string has a habit of detaching when you're trying to unravel it, leaving a gluey mess all over the place. Yep they did just fold the sticky paper over the string and expect it to stay there. The paper tends to rip as well if you're not extra gentle with it - not easy when you're trying to unroll sticky paper. It doesn't attract flies apparently so I'll probably need to set up some kind of trap or hang them directly above the bin and see what happens, because so far they've caught exactly zero flies despite me putting them in rooms that I know have flies in them. In fact so far the only fly they have caught is the fly who came stuck in the packet (pictured), that must have been caught during the packaging process. One thing I can say in their defence is that they are definitely sticky and will probably catch a fly or two at some point.Update: yep flies definitely stick to it, so that's good, but you have to figure out how to get the flies to touch it. Still a pain to actually unravel the things though and for that alone they lose 2 stars.

Sticky
Very sticky paper that caught lots of little black flies and a spider.
