cute little set, excellent value
the set of 4 books come in this slip case the matches the dust jacket art and the books themselves have a great feel and sturdiness the pages are thin without feeling cheap and the text is a good size and formatted well, if you are interested in the supplemental stories you will get a ton of enjoyment from these cute little books and their illustrations

A Must Have
Even if you already have copies of these, this collection is worth having for Pauline Baines' illustrations.

tolkien
I personally think that 'Lord of the Rings' should not be read by anyone until their teens when they will have a better appreciation of the stories and characters. This set of little books however will act as a nice introduction to Tolkien and the world he writes about. I've bought a set for my friend's grandson who is 7 this year and can already read competently.

Beautiful but a bit smaller than expected.
The books are smaller than average in size, the font is normal & there are some nice illustrations I wasn’t expecting. Very cute set all around, well presented so good for display as well as reading - if that concerns you. The packaging was a joke but the books miraculously arrived unharmed so happy days.
