Lay-Z-Spa 58419-17 Hot Tub & Pool LED Floating Light, Multicolor, 6x19x2.04 cm

great in hot tub. Not good replacement for xenon headlights though
This is brilliant in my hot tub. But it should only be used in the hot tub. I made the mistake of playing frisbee with it and the local police were inundated with reports of UFOs. Next thing you know I had some specialized unit from the army my front door asking me where elliot and the ET were. When I couldn't tel them they confiscated all my computing equipment. Thats how come its taken me so long to leave this review. Never messing with it again. For hot tub only

Great despite the poor reviews - we bought a 2and!
We have had 2 of these, one was dropped on the floor and it unfortunately broke, so ordered a 2nd as just wasn't the same without it at night.Despite the bad reviews, I have found these to be really good. We had tried other similar procedures underwater LED lights but none of them had the same powerful lights. These are supposed to float on the top of the water and shine down into the hot tub. We do not immersed them fully as yes, they are not completely watertight. The water can just be wiped away every so often though, the only problem we had with ot not working is when we dropped it on a tiled floor and it broke!Anyway, if you use them as described and just rest them on the water's surface (so it Bob's about like the chlorine dosing capsule does) it works a treat! We had the last one since November and used it every time we used the hot tub in the evenings. They get splashed about a bit but just flip it back over if it goes belly-up! My kids love to pretend it's following them in the hot tub when the bubbles are on and try and get out of it's way! It's good on the 2nd setting. Hold the power button down until it comes on then press down once to get on 2nd setting (smooth transition between light colours). Hold down power button to turn off again.

Good effect but leaks
The effect is pretty good when in the water but no matter how tight it is, water or condensation always gets in and after about 5 uses, the terminals have rusted and it doesn't work.

Faulty Seal - leaking!
Very expensive for a little floaty light for our Lay-z Spa. First time we used it the light stopped working after 10mins and on inspection it was full of water! We dried it out and replaced the batteries. Next time we used it we made sure the seal looked intact in case it was something we had done wrong but the same thing happened again! So it’s gone in the bin! Waste of money!

Useless
Absolutely useless. Firstly let's water in, had a week and has let water in already and battery points have started to rust. Secondly, really bad design. The whole thing is top heavy, batteries are placed at the top, making it flip over when jacussi bubbles are on, pointless...it needs a weight at the bottom to keep it up right, like the batteries...dont waste your money on this folks.

Rubbish
Let water in after 2 or 3 uses despite being done up tightly. Didn't even keep it in the hot tub whilst not in use as removed each time. Light was good but it went rusty as soon as it let the water in. The sets of LED submersible lights are much better.
