Very good grip
I have a metal shoe rack with slopy tiers. It's great when you have shoes with heels, but for my Birkenstock not so much. They kept sliding down. I've added this tape to this metal pipes (just the front ones) and it works a treat. Perfect solution!

Works perfect sticks well
Good product, good adhesion No problems at all. Everything I was looking for.

ok
grip is fine but the glue that holds it down could be stronger: I find that the grip sticks but the tape slips!

It's ok
Long term test results: Had this on an external dog ramp in the garden for 7 months now. Most of the tape has started peeling off even though the ramp is barely used.It does provide grip but you may have to replace the tape every 6 months if you don't want it looking shabby. It's ok and will probably be good enough for most people.

Not fit for purpose
I have wooden pallet which I use as a patio step. It gets slippery in the winter so this summer, I bought and attached this grip tape in four strips. The wooden surface is smooth, clean, dry and was last creosoted ten years ago, so I foresaw no adhesion problems. In fact, the tape is thinner in both width and depth than I expected but as this sis a single step I felt it would be adequate. I expected the adhesive to be very sticky initially but would probably deteriorate over a two year period so I planned to reinforce it with some short broad-headed wood screws. Unfortunately, the adhesive proved to be very weak, so the screws were essential rather than 'belt-and-braces' as I had expected. I left it a day for the adhesive to try and stick a bit better. Then gave the whole thing its overdue creosoting and moved it up garden for the volatiles to evaporate away from the house while baking in the sun. Upon turning it over, I find the strips have already partly come away (see photos). I had expected the strip would need replacing after one or two years seeing how flimsy it was but in fact it has proved to be completely inadequate for the purpose. I will have to buy some much thicker and more robust friction strip now.

Good stuff.
Good stuff. Got this for mother-in-law's stainless steel handrail which used to be slippery when wet.

Great product!
Used it for an indoor shoe rack to keep my shoes from slipping. Works perfect, easy to use and so far no more shoes falling onto the floor.
