MILLAR Black Cast Iron Wok Support Stand for Gas Hobs

No more worries about a wobbly wok with this wee beastie! Fits the gas hob snugly, feels secure and best of all raises the wok level to better let the heat do its work. Having round and flat-based variants of wok, I can report that the Millar support stand is stable with both, and takes away a niggling worry about catching the handle with my arm and tipping the lot when cooking. Curiously the food seems to keep its heat more than previously after serving, which I can only surmise comes from the raised position of the wok over the flames, which does appear to be more efficient in heating the base and sides. A simple but well designed item that I wish I had come across before.

I am very happy with this cast iron wok support stand. I bought this for my new rounded-bottom wok. Excellent performance! This wok support stand fits securely and safely onto the Trivet. It is of sturdy design, providing stability for even the largest wok, especially rounded-bottom wok allowing full open flame cooking on a traditional hob. Whilst I was seasoning my new wok, the stand was able to tilt slightly the wok and stay put safely.

This is quite sturdy and should fit on standard gas cookers. Check first before you buy.Works very well with the wok I bought as well.

If you are buying one of those brilliant steel woks with the round bottom you need this to use it on your gas cooker.Smear all over with lard or tallow before use to build up a protective surface.

It is quite a bit more expensive than others and of course would like it a bit cheaper. But it's good heavy cast iron. Fits all rings on the gas hob I've got a 5 ring hob & its fine on biggest to smallest. This piece of kit brings back all the joy of using my beloved round bottomed wok which has been shelved for a while because my old makeshift support broke. I've been making do with a flat bottomed non stick monstrosity in the meantime, so it's an bonus joy to put that one in the bin!

My wok is to big to sit on the hob. Sounds like a sex cliche but it’s true and this little beauty solved my issues. Only ball ache is storing the existing grill plates but that’s a minor issue to having a proper wok holder. I store it on a hook with my wok so never see it till I need it. Cheap and depending on your wok its perfect

Its good but after one use its already scratched the hell out of my lovely wok
