Great mouthpiece
These mouthpieces really do re-create the classic Meyer New York "M" chamber model from the 50's. ( as played by Phil Woods etc.. ) with a ballooned out chamber, roll over baffle & good tip and rails. - I had to come down a half size tip opening recently from a 7 facing ( 80 thousands of an inch ) - this 6 facing is 77 thou. & is more comfortable for me, with lots of power and easily shaped to get a varied palette of sounds, with great articulation & altissimo, without having to over blow!Great for professionals and serious players alike - beginners should probably start on a smaller facing than this series. - Vandoren have other smaller faced models! These retail at a very good price too, so don't be tempted to spend hundreds of pounds on fully handmade pieces, coz they won't be any better - I have a drawer full of them, so I know! Please remember though, in all of this, everything is personal & subjective.

Used a synthetic reed and this mouth performed superbly got all the high and low notes may get the s+ but i think it might be too bright for me im well impressed.

Good buy, not for me though
Struggled with embochure with this one, however maybe it was due to my playing technique. Good for someone wanting to grow into jazz playing, doing overtones.

Very good mouthpiece
Very well made mouthpiece. Quite versatile also. Slightly bright for my tastes so opted for the D'Addario Select Jazz which has similar DNA but gets a slightly fatter alto tone for my liking.
