Security, confidence and quality from Planet Waves.
As a guitarist and teacher, I have gone through so many capos in the past. From the very expensive to the really cheap. I have always been a massive fan of Planet Waves and have appreciated their constant drive to find solutions for guitarists in all areas of playing. This is very evident here too, I am delighted to say. The capo fits comfortably, securely and evenly across all strings. It instills a confidence that you need when moving it in all positions on the guitar. By turning the screw/knob to a finger tight pressure it will apply just the required force onto the fret and strings with causing stress to the neck. The additional fact that it is very lightweight and robust came as a pleasant surprise to me. i was so impressed with the quality at the price, that I made it my first recommendation to all students, and bought myself spares for every guitar I own. Strongly recommend!!

Planet Waves PW-CP-07 NS Capo Lite
I am a novice guitarist and have never used a capo before. However, I did a lot of research before buying this item. I eliminated other types after studying reviews and I am more than pleased with my choice. It is small, light, simple and very easy to use. I have not experienced any buzzing and the guitar remains in perfect tune. The device is kind to the finish of the guitar and will not damage it even with frequent use. Not only is this capo a well made and excellent product but it is also very inexpensive. I highly recommend it.

Does its job
Adjustable, light and sturdy. For the price an excellent capo for acoustic or electric guitar. Works on my ukulele and probably other string instruments too.

Started off great but had to return after a few days
When this arrived I was delighted with it, no tuning issues, every string sounded great when played open. But then after a few days of fairly light usage the capo simply stopped gripping the strings. I screwed the mechanism in as tight as it would go but the strings were not pressed against the relevant fret and the sound, even on chorded strings, was horrendous and badly out of tune. This Capo has the potential to be great but the design of the tightening mechanism needs looked at urgently.

NS Capo Lite - much better than sprung capos.
I purchased the NS Capo Lite at the beginning of 2012 - it's now January 2016 and the capo is still working perfectly. I have several guitars and a couple of ukuleles and this capo fits them all - from the skinny neck of my soprano uke to the fat wide neck of my full size classical guitar. I much prefer the tightening method of the NS Lite compared to sprung capos some of which have such strong springs they damage fretboard by pressing the larger wound strings into the wood. The screw tensioner of this capo allows you to set just enough force to make the strings ring true without clamping down on them like a rottweiler. It's also easy to move the capo from one fret to another using one hand - simply loosen the screw a little, reposition and tighten. Highly recommended.

Nice little capo
Not the cheapest out there but sturdy enough - no need to over tighten and works well. Not quick to slip on and off but at least you can adjust the pressure rather than relying on a spring clamp.

Handy for your guitar bag
I used to use one of the strap on capos but I left it behind somewhere and thought I'd try something different without spending a lot of money on something I rarely use. I've been really pleased with this one so far, it's still small enough to squeeze into my guitar bag and is far easier to fit and I feel that I'm less likely to damage my guitar. As other reviewers have noted it's very easy to get the right tension and there are no jagged metal teeth to take chunks out of my instrument. Construction seems adequate and the screw is nice and smooth to turn. I've taken one star off because I find that in some situations it gets in the way slightly more than my old capo but maybe I'll around that as I get more used to it and I still wouldn't switch back.

When the item first arrived I removed it from the packaging and immediately grabbed my guitar. In all honesty -- despite it being a "lite" capo the item seemed far too small, and far too brittle feeling. My expectations sank as I inspected it and I started pondering whether I should have just dropped the ~$10.00 on another cheap spring clamp model. Concerns washed away quickly after it was applied and I noodled around on a few songs. Looks can be deceiving, it works great. PROS: + Lightweight, holds very firm considering the price and lack of mass + Simple to apply and I find the twist mechanism superior to clamp-style + Distribution of pressure across the fretboard seems very even, coming from a spring clamp capo which needed to be moved around a lot, this is nice + Thin (lengthwise across the playable area of fretboard), doesn't take much space allowing more room for cramped chords butted up against the barred fret you have it applied to. CONS: [will update when I find a gripe worth mentioning] MISC: * "Mighty Mouse" would be a suitable product name for this due to its diminuitive form and strong performance First impressions went from good (reviews), to bad (taking item out of packaging), and back to good (using it). How it holds up, especially the strength of the clamp, is what I'm interested to see over time. Will update as necessary.

This is great! Not as fast as clipping on but you don't get the buzz like others can. Slides on well and stays on place even if you decide to really go hard! You can thrash it and you never have to fret, it's there for you like your uncle ken when you need a babysitter

it holds the strings to a fret board like magic fingers. only part that is bad you have to do the rest of the work. sigh. one day Gibson will make an auto playing guitar that fails as hard as their self tuning tuners. oh , the capo is great,

どのギターアームの大きさや厚みにも対応出来そう。軽い。後ろにネジ型アジャスターが付いているので、しっかり装着が出来、音がズレない。バネ式では無いので、演奏時邪魔にならない。
