My second one.
I only purchase this one, because I lost my other that I had for ages.We do use this a fair bit amount of time as an electrician it just makes striping the armour much quicker and neater then junior hacksaw. Obviously is limited on how big an armour cable you can actually strip, but still great tool.Only negative I found with this particular one is that the blades don't last as long as with my previous one. It's seems that they are not made to last and they use cheaper or less quality blades, which obviously you can replace and there is 4 or 5 ( I can't remember) attached to this stripers and replacing them is straight forward too.Other than that, spot on.Thank you.

Not a bad addition to the kit
Not a bad addition to the kit. Makes a nice splice of the armour, easy to use. Only issue I have had is the weighted knob on the top keeps coming off. It appears the splines inside the knob have warn already. It's a bit of an inconvenience, but it operates fine. I'll just glue it. Overall it makes cutting the armoured cable neat, and avoids nicking the conductors.

works great
After reading some reviews and having bought similar before , was a bit unsure. If you don't read the instructions properly, don't complain that it doesn't work. If you over tighten it , the blade will snag and the tool won't turn. Use it as per instructions and it works like a dream. Neatly scoring the SWA every time.Have made approx 20 ends so far and blade still going strong. So far only used on 1.5 3 core but will be using it on 16mm soon. Can't see that the size will make any difference.Would definitely recommend to anyone doing lots of SWA.Have now used it on 16mm SWA, works a treat. 36 1.5mm ends and 4 16mm, original blade still going strongHave used on 25mm SWA , same result , perfect stripping every time, have used same blade for 30+ ends, still going strong, everything from 1.5 to 25mm so far, can’t recommend highly enough

Good told to have in your box
I've been using this cutter for few years now.my junior hacksaw is now redundant.very useful for doing a lot of armoured cables in one go.

Unusable after a while
Good while it lasted. I bought this to speed up stripping of swa cables for a project. It worked quite well for a while, but when I went to change the second set of blades, the part that holds the blade seems to have lost its thread rendering this unusable. Seems to be relative inferior quality for the cost. Will manage without it going forwards.
