This is a fantastic 14 piece artist brush set. There are 6 Synthetic Brown handled brushes which are perfect for acrylic paints and watercolours and 7 Natural Bristle brushes with white handles for oil painting, however I have used them with acrylic paint and they are great. These premium quality brushes are long and smooth with beech handles and fitted aluminium ferrules. This set of brushes comes in a soft sturdy black artist brush case for protected storage with 2" individual 'pockets' at the bottom end to keep your brushes in place. Half-way up the case, there is individual elastic loops again to keep your brushes in place. Where the brush bristles lie at the top end, there is a sewn-in plastic see-through soft flap which covers over and under the bristles. The whole case has been designed to keep all your brushes secure without any of them slipping out. The case opens out flat for ease of use measuring approximately 13" wide x 13 3/4" long. The outside of the case has two magnatic press studs. This case is well made, has easy access to your brushes and is great to carry around. The bristles do not shed any hair and for such superior handmade brushes are incredible value for your money. I am not a professional artist by any means, but have been painting for many years and love these brushes. I highly recommended them.

I love the quality of these brushes. They are an excellent set of both watercolour and acrylic brushes and well worth the money! I took them to my art class and the following comment is from my art teacher who is now the proud owner of a set!Janet (art teacher): The brushes were good. As a set I think they pretty much cover everything you'd need for acrylic and watercolour. I liked how soft they were, really good for blending in acrylic. The smaller ones were also great for detailed work. They didn't shed any hairs either which is always a good thing. Have used with oils and acrylics, I prefer the synthetic brown handled brushed as the hog bristle ones have shed a little for me from first use, only a stray bristle here and there.. but annoying to try and get out of your painting without making a mess. For the price, the quality seems reasonable.

These are by far the nicest and best quality brushes I have bought, and given there price that is amazing. The paint holds really nicely and then flows when applied to the paper/canvas leaving a really high quality finish allowing me to paint exactly how I want without worrying about unwanted smears or marks caused by the bristles.I have had no issues with loose bristles. The brushes feel really nice in my hand and are really well formed for easy grip allowing me to have the control I want with no risk of the brush slipping or falling.I imagine there are better brushes out there, but you would need to pay alot of money to buy them and for the price i can not suggest a better product.

I work with acrylics and I usually use cheaper brushes, but thought I would invest in a better set and bought these as I have used this company before and they are quick and efficient and friendly sellers. Wow, the brushes are amazing to work with, smooth and even the fine brushes work perfectly for the fine detail I do. Definitely worth the investment. I also have this company's leakproof travel mug and I love it. Highly recommended.

I've received an email from Art Supply Central every single day since ordering these brushes. No offence Art Supply Central, but if your brushes are any good there's no need to be so desperate.On the other hand, the brushes look very good. I'm studying fine art so most of you will know I haven't had a chance to use them yet, if I ever do. These brushes may very well be amazing but they have all of the hall marks of cheapo things that come from China. And I ought to know, because I purchase quite a lot of cheapo things from china.Formalities out of the way. I will report back once I start using the brushes. When I have used the brushes I will leave a proper review Art Supply Central. I mean they look ok ish. A few are bent and mis shapen, but that's character, I can deal with that. Just leave me alone.Update: Bushes are excellent quality for the price, decent length, hold a good amount of paint and have kept their shape and bristles very well. I have been using them constantly over the last year and they are still in top condition. Would recommend.

These paintbrushes are absolutely fabulous. I have some Kolinsky sable brushes which are supposed to be the best - but these are much, much, better - at a fraction of the price. The came in a lovely case to keep them in, which will be useful, and there is a huge variety of every size you would need. They arrived this morning and I had a commission to paint an animal today for someone, so I used them - having given them a thorough "road test" on a half chow dog I can thoroughly recommend these brushes - they are fabulous!The promotion said they would be suitable for oils and acrylics but I was using watercolours this afternoon, and they were great with watercolours, especially when doing fine details - the paintbrush didn't go all floppy.

I have gone back to painting after a break of about 30 years. I took all my old brushes out of the drawer and they were dreadful so I bought this wonderful set and have been delighted with the outcome. Already I have two new paintings adorning the walls and there will be more to come. Thank you Art Supply Central for these excellent quality brushes, lovely and soft with no loose hairs. Quite a find.
