Great looking, iconic Seiko divers watch
This 200M WR diver is a great watch. This version, SKX009J1 is the dark blue dial (blue/black) with "Pepsi" bezel (blue and red) and "Made in Japan". It is a classic powered by the reliable Japanese movement 7S26.This watch has perfectly aligned minute markers in the dial with those in the bezel. The hour dots and triangle (at noon) perfetly align with the respective minute markers in the dial and the numbers in the bezel. I mention this because in some websites there are complaints about misalignments. I wonder if the misalignments arise more frequently in the NON-japanese versions (i.e. ending K1 or K2) instead of the japanese versions (ending J1 or J2).The watch is more beautiful in person than the marketing pictures show. It is 42 mm wide (not counting the crown). My wrist is about 7.5 inches wide and the watch looks just great (see attached pictures). By the way the crown is screwed down: You have to rotate it anti-clockwise to make it move out one notch; after this, you may pull it once very slightly to move it another notch so you get to the crown level where you can adjust the day in one direction and the date in the other direction. After this is done, you may pull the crown again very slightly to get it into the final level where you can move the hands one direction or the other. Once you are set. You should push down the crown twice and at this level you screw down the crown rotating it clockwise while pressing it against the case.I decided to buy a stainless steel bracelet for this watch so I bought the 22 mm Super Oyster II Bracelet (curved end), which is a very nice, solid looking bracelet, for about $67.49 including shipping from Strapcode (the vendor in Amazon). To take the rubber strap off and to put and adjust the size of the Super Oyster bracelet, you need to watch a Youtube video (don't try without the video as you may mark or scratch the watch). Taking the rubber strap, adjustiing the size of the stainless steel and placing it to the watch requires some skill and having some basic watch tools (it took me longer than other watches). A good time to buy relatively inexpensive watch tools if you don't have them, or else take the watch and the steel bracelet to a watch store and ask them to change the strap and resize it for you.I am very happy with my purchase of this classic Seiko divers watch and with both the seller of the watch (Watchsavings) and the seller of the steel bracelet (Strapcode).

Rugged workhorse that brings back memories...
Love this watch. I have come to accept that product placement does impact some of my buying decisions; especially in action movies. I saw this workhorse in the movie 'All is Lost' (although there is some dispute as to the Japanese/American model) and knew that I had to have it. It took me back to the first watch that I bought to SCUBA dive with in the military, albeit a slightly different Seiko model (wish I never parted with it).I decided to go with the Japanese model SKX009J1 for personal reasons as I wanted a Seiko watch made in Japan and was willing to pay a little more to have it in my collection. I am self aware enough to know that I would have regretted my purchase if I didn't. You may not feel the same as I do and that is fine, as in my research I did not read of any significant differences reported in the appearance, or quality, between the models produced in other countries. The watch has proved to be accurate, I love the contrasting navy blue, red and black colors and it is a very comfortably sized watch for my wrist.Whereas some don't like the rubber band, I prefer it for dive watches that I will actually use in the water; especially on this dive watch. The band has a rugged look with thick dimensions that provide a pleasing balance with the case when worn. The crown located at the 4 o'clock position adds a unique look and is somewhat more comfortable to operate than my other watches at the 3 o'clock position. The vendor followed thru and sent the watch quickly as promised and in beautiful working condition. I have zero regrets and hope to get many reliable years of use out of it. If you pull the trigger, I believe that you will be as happy as I am to have it in your collection, or as your 'one and only'.

Read both good and bad reviews(although clearly the good win out)
I read the reviews, here and other places, both good and bad (although clearly the good win out). The reviews ran high and for a reason. Of my 22 time pieces, this is by far in the top 3. Is it perfect? I think perfection is ethereal, however for what this watch is, this watch is perfect. +/- 1 minute per week, much better performance than I actually expected. It's sharp, comfortable, and filled a void in my collection. The first time I saw this watch was in 1978 when my friend was gifted one for his 16th birthday. I fell in love with it then, and although it took 40 years, I finally have my own copy. The J version vs the K version? I don't know that the differences are that great, but the watch I fell in love with in 1978 was Japan, and so I stayed true to my decision.

Cool watch but with some annoying flaws
Update: 2 months after purchase and the movement broke. It would works for a few minutes after shaking and then stops again. Funny enough this only happens if I leave it on the watch winder. I guess some parts in movement just "touch" others at certain angle. I contacted both Amazon and the seller (who referred back to Amazon) and Seiko only to find that the watch only has warranty in Japan (if any at all). The Asurion insurance info that included in the watch box is not valid anymore as Amazon stopped using Asurion from Oct 2018. Thus, I think the warranty on the watch should be disclosed more explicitly.Overall, Amazon came up with an ok solution for me so I'm still happy but the watch deserves zero star. Knowing Seiko I believe I'm just one of a few unlucky customers but nonetheless, I'll avoid buying watches with the same movement from now on.The watch looks amazing. The quality is great for the price as well. But you cant deny that its a cheap watch and the details show. The most annoying thing is the lug bar. Seiko chose the cheapest but toughest bar so it is pretty much impossible to pull out to change the equally ugly but durable rubber strap. Took me 30’ and a lot of energy to finally pull it out. Another bothering thing to me is the crown. It is very flimsy once you unscrew it.
