SkyBell Wi-Fi Video Doorbell Version 2.0 Classic (SILVER)

Quite possibly my worst buy. My review is based on 6 months of testing.Connecting:On the rare occasion when I am able to connect to the bell, it takes about a minute to connect, by which point whoever rang is leaving or has already left. This is the same using mobile data as on WiFi in my home, as I'm disabled and can't get to the door fast. Other times, it just won't connect.Motion sensor:This is extremely sparodic, very rarely it will work, then suddenly it will react to nothing, then hardly work again. In 10 times of walking up to it, it might react once.Activity log:Useless and no pattern to it. Most my activity logs show no activity, just video of the normal environment, but nothing from the motion sensor or someone ringing the bell is recorded. It seems completely useless.Reaction times:At first, I'd only get the bell ringing through my phone anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour after someone rang it. Then I altered the app to push notifications on highest priority. This improved things with the occasional ring coming through within 3 seconds, but the vast majority taking up to a minute.General use:Just logging on to the Nell out of interest, be it intrigue, or a noise outside can take anywhere from 20 seconds, to the more common 1 to 2 minute wait to see anything.... IF it logs on at all.Tech support:I've been onto skybell tech support about all of this, and they responded promptly and were very helpful, providing suggestions on resets, reinstalls etc. I followed all the instructions several times over many months, and as a technical engineer and programmer I had an idea to run through these things anyway. However whilst their support service might be reasonably good, the technology that is the skybell classic 2.0 is extremely poor.Summary:If you need a video doorbell, pay for a 'Ring' doorbell. Only buy this if you want to waste your time, money and frustrations on rubbish. Complete waste of money and not fit for purpose.

I bought this and it was obviously a return item, came in the wrong box and several parts were missing including the set screw tool, when I contacted Skybell's customer service they refused to help me with the missing tool, a 10 pence item, saying as I didn't buy it from them they weren't responsible or interested in helping, what CRAPPY service from a CRAPPY company! When I finally fitted the bell I discovered it had been registered to another account, when I contacted Amazon customer service I was told that the registration couldn't be changed, so I had to return it. I've wasted a lot of time on this product, I wouldn't recommend Skybell or their products.

We sent back....much more complicated than we first thought. Good service however and refunded without question, for the right tech person I'm sure this is an excellent product. Too tech for me...

Do not buy this. Period.Sadly I got confused with the various versions, and I got lured into a warehouse deal. This is possible the worst buy of 2017.- App crashes when you try to answer doorbell- Picture quality is poor to say the least. No infrared means no night vision- The app is no longer updated. But it also is no longer compatible with the curren versions of iPhone software. This means... the product is unusable. I am filing a complaint with amazon as it is not fit for purpose and refunds should be given.

Great fun but unfortunately the picture quality wasn't great and audio. I love the concept but I hope the HD version is better

The Sky door bell does not work as stated in the description. It does not connect to the phone when it is pressedBit of a let down. I have tried everything and actually tried another Sky Bell from Canada and that works fine.There must be something wrong with the software or its Firmware inside itVery disapointing

This was a total waste of time and money after numerous attempts to solve the problem of not receiving notifications to my phone of someone at my door following all avenues suggested by Skybell help I have been notified that Skybell V2 is not support by IPhone or Android any longer so the bell is totally useless and does not carry out its intended function as advertised
