Review on the smell, not sure of effectiveness yet
I just purchased this so I can't vouch for its effectiveness yet. But I came to comment on the smell. I've used other sprays (zero in moth spray) and that smell was a very strong lavender, not my favourite! This one is a bit sweet, but not overpowering. There's a bit of that chemical smell someone mentioned, but I'd say that unless you spray it and stay in the room to take in the smell, it's very mild. When I spraying this into the room (as a room treatment) I was wearing a mask and tried not to breath until I left the room in question. Coming back in a few hours later, I opened the window, still my builders thin mask on, and I barely detected the smell. Waited about 5 minutes before taking the mask off and I can now smell a faint smell. Much better than the Zero in spray, which despite wearing a mask, would get me coughing for a while. I bought this to treat a flat I've moved into, just in case the moths have moved with me despite taking a lot (!) of precautions. Only time will tell, but I've now taken into using 3 different sprays in the new flat: Zero in moth spray, this one, and the Rentokil moth spray. They all have different active substances, so I thought I'd use them all to tackle any stubborn ones. If all this spraying, laundering and freezing all textiles, plus trichogamma wasps* do not do it, I'm not sure what will...I'm so tired fighting these little buggers. *you can find them on amazon and elsewhere. About £10 per card (suitable for one small room), and they will hunt down your moth eggs. Seriously, these microscopic heroes were the best way of tackling the issue in the old flat, and only thing that gave me long term results. Just make sure you don't spray this stuff while they're around (about 2-3 weeks or so). Edit. Well this didn't work. I have sprayed 3 times in my bedroom, and moths really don't mind it at all. I have now realised that despite all my efforts and extremely rigorous cleaning etc, the moths have moved with me. I'm at my wits end...

Very good spray that works almost instantly. Even zapped a couple in mid flight and they were never seen again

Kills em ded.
I hate moths. So do you. This kills them dead. You can even see the larvae in their death throes if you skoosh it on the carpet. Don't breath it, fire it around the carpet edges before you go out for the day.

Works really well and cleared my developing problem
Near my flat there are a lot of moths, and one of the joys of owning a cat means that occasionally they get in. They start to spread, and if not contained will start to devour your clothes, carpets, etc. A good spray of this (10 secs or so) in a small to medium room is not only enough to kill them all in the most infested room, but actually find the occasional dead moth in other rooms for the next couple days. I always ensure I leave the flat for a couple hours after, and make sure my cat is gone for the day, and neither of us have either had any health issues from this spray. It doesn't leave any nasty odours or any particular residue on surfaces. This, along with drawer balls and special carpet spray, 100% keep the problem at bay. And out of all three things I use, this is the most reliable, and the one I'd choose if I could only keep one. A great product at a great price, sorts a very specific problem with no after effects.

Absolutely brilliant!!!!!
Kept getting the odd baby moth in the spare room, then there were at least 30!!!!! Couldn't wait for this spray to arrive, it didn't disappoint,, one small spray and they dropped to the ground dead. Did open the windows as a slight chemical smell, they were in a rug under the spare bed so sprayed everywhere and its killed every single moth!!!! Fab product, great price, will never be without it now!!!! 🙂🙂🙂🙂👏👏👏

Immediately effective
I am so happy! No more moths! I hate killing any living creature so was reluctant to go down this route. However, life was becoming pretty miserable having to hoover up flying and crawling moths from my son's bedroom EVERY single night. It had got beyond control. Never had problems with moths before and don't know where they came from originally. We had a few in the same bedroom last year but just scooped them up individually in a glass and freed them outside. This year, however, they were back with a vengeance. They were all the same species, identical, presumably clothes moths. Reminded me a bit of fleas, not the pretty moths you see in your garden! Anyway, followed instructions on the can, spraying my son's room and closing the door and windows. Went back in about half an hour later and opened all the windows. The carpet was littered with dead moths. Felt a twinge of guilt but was also pleased, after having a final hoover up, to give my son back a pleasant bedroom! This was a few days ago and we have seen not one single moth. Brilliant!!!

Significant reduction of moths
Rentokil Moth Killer is a very effective product. I used to see like 2 or 3 moths on the ceiling then maybe 1 flying around. I sprayed 1 moth and MOST of them started coming out from wherever they’re hiding. I had to kill each one of them with a plastic fly swatter as it was late and I couldn’t leave the house anymore. I’d say it’s effective to make them come out from hiding, but you might need to do your part (cleaning the house/wardrobe thoroughly to get rid of the eggs, and maybe killing with a fly swatter). It’s been 6 days since I sprayed, I’ve only seen 1 or 2, but nothing on ceilings/walls, which is a VERY good sign. Still, pest control came to my house although I don’t know how helpful pest control was, I really think this spray has done the job although today I have seen 1 moth on the carpet but it looked very weak so I think this spray has a long-lasting effect. I’ve seen 2 dead also. I’d definitely recommend this product.
