Magnum Photos: 100 Postcards Cards – 21 Mar. 2016

I was expecting a very high quality print on a very high quality card, but it is not like that at all.

Contrary to another review, there is NOT a huge proportion of war imagery - only 9 cards show militaristic imagery and none of it is graphic/harrowing. Good selection across time, place, and topic.

Well-produced, but, overall, rather disappointing. The desire to feature the range of Magnum photographers has led to the inclusion of too many rather dull photographs. I understand why the box isn’t stuffed with Capa and Cartier-Bresson, but it would have been a great deal better had it been.

These cards are not what I expected. The majority of them feature war, poverty, famine, despair and other depressing themes. Most of them are monochrome. Over half of them have already been thrown away. If there had been more photos of the box contents, I wouldn't have wasted my money.

I read a couple of reviewers who thought some of these photos were poor but I can't agree, I really love these cards. They're excellent quality and the photos are stunning, with a varied assortment of people, places, things etc. Some are thought provoking, some are simply breathtaking, some are nostalgic - all are superb! I've framed several and begrudgingly sent some, which have been very well received with a couple of friends asking where they could buy some!

A good collection of Magnum shots in a handy postcard size with dispenser - for collecting or use as you wish. I am a big fan of the Magnum stable of photographers - who, I feel, photograph the 'real' world, rather than conjure up photoshopped fantasy worlds or produce images from planet selfie.

I didn't expect this to be so well made or to be such good quality.. it's brilliant.

Very nice set. This is a completely different filling when you hold a card. Really nice small thing.
