I have waited for a long time for a book like the Textile Reader. The book features texts and papers from textile artists and practitioners as well as academics and presents a varied discourse on the subject of contemporary textiles, and its relationship with art and craft in the modern world. A must-have for students.

This book is an excellent resource for anyone interested in textiles of any kind. From art to fashion, from story quilts to stains, The Textile Reader delivers incredible insights from multiple disciplines regarding the importance of clothing and other cloth/fabrics in our lives. An excellent resource for both scholarly and general interests, this book is accessible and a fun read. I have both editions, and I highly recommend them both!
