I bought this to help move my broadband router from upstairs to downstairs so I could achieve maximum broadband speeds in the areas I use most. I already had two white cables, one for my Virgin V6 box and one for my Virgin router. But only one port on the white Virgin connection on the wall, so this splitter was needed. Very easy to install and the TV picture is just as good as before, and I'm now getting 220Mbps broadband speed downstairs which is just above my maximum speed. IMPORTANT: You will need a cable TV isolator cable to connect the splitter to the Virgin white box on the wall. Don't just use a standard cable TV cable. The isolator cable will reduce the noise that some have complained about and also adds protection to your equipment and Virgin's engineers. Virgin's own instructions (which I found online) show the isolator cable connecting their white box to a splitter. Virgin wanted £100 to move my broadband hub into living room, so I could get a better signal using my Roku and Chromecast devices. This worked a treat, connected hub to one outlet and TiVo box to other main cable being connected to single outlet on other side. Saved all that money.

I purchased this to initially replace several push-in type Y splitters in a hope of improving our TV signal. We already had a mast head amplifier, so thought a passive splitter would be adequate. Unfortunately, despite replacing all the push-in plugs with F connectors and fitting this in place of the Y splitters, we had roughly the same weak signal levels of around 40% for the strength and quality at each TV point. If I connected a single TV point straight to the antenna, I got a 70% strength and 100% quality, so the antenna and masthead amplifier were working fine, but not sufficient to split across 4 TV points. We later replaced this with a 4-way amplifier and removed the masthead amplifier and signal strength went up to 60% at each TV point, with a 100% quality. I'm sure this splitter would be fine in strong signal areas, but for fringe areas, consider getting a multiple output amplifier instead.

Not a single problem. Works as it should. Connected nanas tivo box down stairs for the first connection. Connected my gaming router on the other and the final connection the tivo box upstairs! Got very long wires of course but never a loss in signal!!!! And getting 220 download and 12.8 upload on my internet with 7 ms ping to a server 100 miles away! Great for gaming and games like Valorant!
