BODUMBISTRO NOUVEAU Coffee Maker (French Press System, Dishwasher Safe, 1.0 L/34 oz) - Black

This arrived well packed. I opened it and was initially a little worried as the plastic parts seemed a little thin. I needn't have worried though, I've been using this cafetiere almost every week for some months now and they are holding up extremely well. The glass is the standard "laboratory grade" borosilicate, perfect for food, and the metalwork seems to be 18/8 stainless steel. The plunger works smoothly even if it's a little bit of a tight fit in mine.When it comes to capacity, I bought the 12 cup version which translates to 3 L A R G E mugs of steaming hot "wake-up", which is enough to trigger activity in my higher brain functions.I had ordered this cafetiere with a spare glass as I had broken my trusty old model (around fifteen years old) and as I had kept the base, handle, and plunger/lid, I decided to try assembling the parts with the spare glass. They fitted perfectly. I love companies that don't go around changing things just because they can.

Exactly what you'd expect from a Bodum cafetiere. No cafetiere is "easy" to clean because you have to separate the layers of the press to do it properly but this is not hard. We like the clean lines.

Could not work out where to put the coffee, but great if you just want a party

We bought the large one.As you can see, it has a metal ring which attaches the handle, this isn't sturdy and comes loose and needs to be tightened all the time, which is a bit disconcerting when it's full of hot coffee. Also don't like that it doesn't come in a cradle, as it feels too heavy to put glass onto the worktop. We're so convinced this will soon break that we've just bought a cheap one from Morrison's as back up!

Love this. It is just a bit smaller than expected. For two people, it is better the larger 12 cup maker, so you can make bigger batches.

Good cafetière, the handle isn’t the strongest, sometimes feels like it’s going to break. But i got it used so it was worth the money. Not sure if I would pay the original price for this one

Sono molto soddisfatta dell'acquisto. E' facile da lavare, il filtro è molto fine e non lascia passare la polvere di caffe o di spezie se si aggiungono. Leggero e ben fatto come buona parte dei prodotti Bodum.

Parfaite lorsqu'on ne veut plus d'appareils électriques, ou ne tout cas, le moins possible.Parfaite lorsqu'on est peu nombreux à la maison à boire du café.Parfaite lorsqu'on veut déguster un vrai et bon café.Belle qualité, robuste et pour un prix très raisonnable pour une BODUM !
