Transformers: Age of Extinction [DVD] [2014]

Trasformers: Age of Extinction is a soft reboot from the previous three Transformers films, with entirely different characters and Cybertronian styles, but following on from the havoc wreaked in "Dark of the Moon".Let's be honest here - Age of Extinction is not a masterpiece. But it was never going to be. As a mindless action film, there is far less shaky cam and with the more brightly coloured robots it's far easier to follow fight scenes. It's impressive, and it works, and it feels epic when you're watching it.The plot is far more straight-forward than other films, and the Autobots are fleshed out and given unique personas, even having whole scenes by themselves to reinforce them as characters. Lockdown was an excellent villain and brings a new dimension to the film, whilst Optimus Prime's more murderous tendencies are toned down and he's much more of an admirable character. Kelsey Grammar is excellent as always, and Mark Wahlberg's Cade Yaeger is a great audience insert. His banter with Prime, in particular, is really quite heart-warming. (Or is that spark-warming?)Age of Extinction is still a long, nonsensical, 'splosion-filled action piece, but you can tell the writer and director have tried harder to fix some of the problems with the previous trilogy and as a result the film is more watchable and more likeable. If you are a fan of the live action Transformers film, it's for you. If you're a general audience member who just wants a long, loud bang for their buck, it's for you. If you're a diehard G1 Transformers fan or are looking for a more intelligent, quiet film, it's not for you. It's really as simple as that.

Ok first this a good film Yes it is. It is not a great or a fabulous or a fantastic or an amazing film.It is so much better than the third not as good as the second but as good as the firstIt has a new story a new cast and a better pacing and balance between CGI and HumansThe film has a lot of problems the female lead is a bit of a Joke not just the performance the character is the scream help me help me type relay badly written The Hunky square jaw good hair bearded hero is as bad if not worse terrible relay badThe story wonders around with out any real narrative or frankly a point I can see they are attempting to reinvent and they do but what a poor effortNow why has it got a 4 out of 5Mark Wahlberg is really top notch he is on top form and its his movie the comedy is there from the humans again and this time because the balance between the CGi and the humans is much better the CGI is also relay good and the set peace stuff is a lot of fun the reinvention of the franchise along the plot lines we see put in place are interesting the bad guys are bad the good guys are good and the women (grown up females) Look fantastic.So if you are looking for a switch off the clever bits of brains and enjoy CGI and big bangs this is way better then you would expect so at the right price have a goOn a serious note and this is no word of a lie their are no not one Black/afro Caribbean/African American Character WHY! also why is the blond archaeologist in this film we see her doing nothing at all also the Chinese assistant is relay good and yet again is used once combined with the screamy daughter it is not a good movie for the females. Also the best comic character dispersers why?

Very good movie to watch with great effects, but a story change is very sudden. Just in the last movie they have saved the planet from Cybertron and then now they are the fugitives being hunted.Although I suppose I understand rich people would want to get the "seed" according to this movie story. But they could have made another movie in between to explain how the earth is suddenly hate all the transformers. Just my opinion. But still a good movie.

Love the transformers as they are very different and yet modern for this era, I love the stories and with a fantastic cast you won't find any better. I was very uncertain at first when my grandchildren first suggested these, I classed them as been a bit out of this world, I decided that it's time to give it a go what can I lose. Now I'm already looking for more of the same as they are great and not over done that these will entertain any age so what are you all waiting for, get a move on and pick up this movie with full on action and ideas that come around every corner you haven't got time to do anything else, Pleasant and entertaining that you won't be disappointed but will be if you miss it. I rated this an A grade plus for pure fast ideas and never a dull moment having you clinging to the chair so now it's your turn to make a move, pick up the show gather up the popcorn and retire to your favourite chair relax with feet up for a grand night in with sheer fabulous entertainment that will have you glued to your television. Enjoy!

Una más de la saga. Se ven muy bien

Pedi esta edicion porque tengo las tres primeras,la pedi el 1 de febrero pense que me llegaria en marzo,pero llego el dia 13,contiene dos blurays pelicula y extras,tiene español 5.1(se ve en una de las fotos,para mi sorpresa la pelicula es con slipcover muy bonito,por el precio que me valio vale mucho la pena comprarla me salio a 5.32 con gastos.

Love all the Transformer movies. You either hate the style or you love it.
