Good but fragile
Easy install. Exactly what I wanted. Arms were a bit bent. Had to bend them by hand to make them look straight. Possibly a packaging issue, possibly the handling issue. But all in all, very happy.

Maybe that's my batteries and would be better on a standard Duracell or similar
Originally I thought mine was delivered with the light facing in the wrong direction but I discovered that the bar that the light is in twists on its own axis. Mine was very stiff to start with. I agree with another reviewer that the light is a cold blue./white light and not exactly what I was looking for. I am using rechargeable batteries and they don't seem to last a whole week (3-4 days of evening use and they were drained). Maybe that's my batteries and would be better on a standard Duracell or similar. Just a note for others to consider - I bought this as a 'cheaper' experiment to see it I wanted to light my picture - and in just a week I have found it inconvenient that the on/off switch is on the unit, and because my picture is high up, I have to stand on a chair to switch the light on and off. As a result, I will be investing in a more expensive unit in the future with a remote control. I will also be paying more attention to led/lamp colour.

Dartboard light anyone?
Needed a light for my dartboard and didn't want halogen. Batteries last longer with LED and therefore you don't need to wire into mains or have an external power supply. This LED light is almost perfect. The throw (pardon the pun) is just enough to illuminate the board but I have to have it set close to the top of the board - so any stray aims when going for double top could hit the light. The arms angle is adjustable and feel sturdy so you can tweak it to suit. The light itself could do with being just a bit wider by say 5-10cm to help cover the board a bit more. These points are only relevant for dartboard usage otherwise the product is well made and I'm happy with it. I'm only marking it down as 4 stars instead of 5 due to the price - it feels more like £15 max rather than the £19.99 I paid.

Good but could be better....
This has to be adjusted for light to shine on the picture and not into the room. There are four screws on a plate holding the two ends of the arm. Slightly loosen to move arms down so light shines on the picture.I have slight OCD and the arms look slightly bent differently to me but most normal people wouldn't notice. The light itself is a little bit harsh and focused on top of the canvas print instead of softly lighting the whole thing. The frame is actually good quality metal and it does look good once up.

Nice little lights if a little "tinny"
I have bought a pair of these lights to use above pictures. Upon opening my initial impression was that I was a tiny bit diappointed as they looked a bit "tinny". Also, I noticed that they weren't perfectly symmetrical and one arm seemed slighly lower than the other so the light bar (which is adjustable and can be moved up/down) was not quite level. However a gentle bit of bending brought them back into alignment. They are easy to install, seem to illuminate well and the black chrome fits really well with my decor. Once up, they look better than I expected and I guess I just need to see how long they last with the 3 AA batteries, but as these are LED's I'm hoping quite some time! For £20 these are very good and I would recommend them.

A LITTLE DISAPPOINTING
This is a rather small unit and the actual lighting strip is only 13cm long. It is reasonably well made but the assembly work could be better. In my case the swivelling arms were not aligned properly and had to be adjusted but this is easy once the cover is simply removed there is access to 4 screws each side to enable the position and the tightness of the arms to be corrected. There have been a number of reviews here that say the cylindrical light unit is fixed and faces the wrong way which is NOT the case. The actual light unit is a little tight but it rotates reasonably easily so that the precise angle of beam required can be achieved. My disappointment come from the light level and reach and this unit is not the solution for any picture deeper than 35/40cm and/or 55/60cm wide so if your picture is bigger get a bigger light! One other point, this type of unit is not suitable in my view for glazed art work as you see the light reflection in the glass, it's good for canvases and other work not under glass.P.WintertonP.Winterton
