Photographic aid
I use this as a photographic aid. Placed against a copy board, it provides a pretty accurate reading which, when the device is held against the film plane/CCD sensor plane of the camera (or even the mounting plate at 90 degrees) can be used to equate the angle of the camera to the copy board. Then, adjusting the hight of the camera, parallel planes provide zero perspective distortion.

Great for 99% of angles you’ll ever need to find. I have several digital angle finders and the batteries always fail just about the time I need them.The magnet is strong and the body is sturdy.

Good Product
I have been using the Irwin magnetic angle locators at my stainless fabrication shop for many years, and I thought I would give the Johnson level a try.Overall, they are always within one degree accuracy even after being dropped and banged around many times as my guys are hard on tools.These are fraction of the cost as the Irwins, and much more durable.Shipping was earlier than expected, which is always a plus!
