Our daughter suggested this for our grandson. Once ordered on line, it arrived promptly and we removed it from the box and assembled it quietly. It was quite straightforward. Again, this was at my daughter's suggestion because it needed assembling or opening a box promising a pirate ship but only containing parts might have been disappointing. It's an excellent toy, brilliant for imaginative play and a very good quality. Excellent value for money.

I gave this to my son a couple of years ago, and it has remained a consistently played with and enjoyed toy by him and his friends. It has converted now from a pirate ship to carrying his growing troops of Lego mini figures, but seems to find new roles easily. He loves that he can roll it across the floor. Definitely one of my better gifts for him! (And It is an attractive wood toy, which I don't mind inhabiting various rooms in the house!)

Bought this for my son's 5th birthday and he absolutely loves it. Had researched quite a few and was very tempted to get the Le Toy Van Barbarossa one but didn't fancy paying an extra £12-£15 for pirates and as this one comes with 6 for a cheaper prices then it was a 'no-brainer' as they say!Love the fact that it's got wheels and my son loves pushing it around on the carpet battling the high seas and pesky pirates.Really simple to put together and well made and in my view great value for money as I know both of my boys will have lots of fun with this for years to come.

We have now had 2 defective pirate ships for our son’s birthday. The first had a massive gap between 2 joints of wood so the front of the ship could not click into the drilled holes this was very obvious and should have visibly been clear on a quality check of the completed item. The second ship the plastic connectors were all of different lengths and widths so would either not fit in the drilled holes or stay clicked in place. The plastic connector on the mast was squashed out of shape so again would not connect in place. This is a very poor quality item especially for the price and now we have to find something else a week after a very disappointed little boy’s birthday 😞

lovely looking little pirate boat, however I am unsure how long it will last. The boat has to be put together when it arrived, This turned out to be quite a fiddly job, at one point I had to get help from someone stronger as I was not strong enough to push the pegs into the predrilled holes. I still have not managed to get the keel to stay on (the red Pole at the front ) The balustrades also attach using the pegs and pre drilled holes, they have the same problem are not very secure, I have re attached them twice already for my grandson and I put it together yesterday. The accessories are really nice, we have got cannons, a treasure chest that ones and close. steps for the pirates to get up and down each level. The ship is good value for money as it includes the pirates as well.

Good toy when built but a questionable product as a couple of the pegs were a good 5mm out so had to cut them off and glue the wood instead. One of the sails was also very fiddly and had to cut & tie the string to get it to work. Certainly should not be having to do that for the price.

I bought this ship for my son's 2nd birthday. We had previously had rented a plastic pirate ship from our local toy library and he was obsessed with it. However I am not a fan of plastic toys and prefer wooden ones so decided to get this ship instead of the plastic one which was a little cheaper.ProsMy son loves itLots of fun little characters includedHas lasted at least 2 months with constant play from a toddler (no signs of major useage)It has wheels on the bottom so it can sail around the lounge.The doors are springy and so stay open when playing and no risk of hurting fingers.ConsIt looks slightly different than the picture and not as polished - not that my son mindsThe front pole keeps coming out and the flag doesn't really attach to anything.The instructions aren't great so I had to just improvise and guess with some of the parts.For the price it is a great sturdy little ship. However it is not as nice as the picture so not 5 stars.
