KEF M400 Over-Ear Hi-Fi Headphones - Racing Blue

Photo does not do justice to the sunset orange color version I purchased, looks much better in real life. Great sound as expected from KEF, Folds into a compact case but it is a bit too compact and one needs to be careful not to scratch the ear pieces against each other.it is not too tight on the ears when using and I find it comfortable to use alongwith my reading glasses.

What a shame. I was pleased with the sound quality of these headphones, they were also comfortable to wear. Pity about the construction quality and KEFs non existent supposed to get back in 48 hrs customer service. Folding construction damages headphones and controls are temperamental. They need to go back to the drawing board.

I have a fair few quality sets of earphones and headphones including one or two pricey sets. These M400 keep up with them nicely. They are on the light side so not the toughest set I own and so I try not to be too rough with them but so far build quality has not been an issue. They look nice and the orange ones that I purchased really catch your eye. They are comfortable too. Possibly the most comfortable headphones I own even more so than the more expensive but similar setup B&W P5's I own which clamp a bit too much for my tastes. As for sound once you get past spending £50 on a set of headphones it is diminishing returns. Increasing soundstage and separation etc to the degree that you go wow when you listen is not going to be achieved at this price point but you will get a very nice clean sound that is pleasant to listen too and it lacks any obvious faults or weaknesses. Thes headphones make in my opinion an ideal pairing to a mobile phone for listing to Spotify or downloaded tunes.

sound great - people who have broken sets must be quite rough with them

Having read the reviews I was excited to receive these headphones.However if you are active and plan on wearing these headphones whilst commuting or out in the garden then don't bother. They fit so loosely on the head that as soon as you tilt your head forward they fall off. I've returned mine.Shame because I like KEF as a company.

Great Headphones. Brilliant sound and very chic look.

After very light use, limited to half an hour or do every few days these are in terrible condition.The padding on both ears has completely split and the head band padding is all frayed.They are ok sound wise but not great. I find them uncomfortable to wear.My cheaper sony ones are sonically as good, more comfortable and are looking in much better condition despite being used by my son for literally hours most days.
