Paula Deen12.6 Quart Convection Air Fryer Oven - Red

I’ve been skeptical buying a fryer till now. I bought the Paula Deen version because of the non stick coating. I refuse to buy Teflon. Deen makes a porcelain coated basket which is highly preferred. It was packaged well but did arrive with some factory flaws I wasn’t pleased about after paying $140. Scuffs on the control panel underneath the protective film. A scratch on the top. We elected to keep the unit since it would be too hard to send back. In the right lighting the scuffs aren’t too noticeable. We ran it outside for the first time to let it outgas. Recommended. It sits on our glass stove top and gets used daily. I’m still playing with cooking times but the control panel seems easy to use and fairly touch responsive.

I was fooling around with the oven/rotisserie style air fryer when I should have listened to my mom and gotten a basket-style like this.In any case, here we are! Better late than never. There are many pros—easy to clean, easy presets, large capacity, and more. My teens use this with ease every day. The clean up is a breeze as there are only 2 pieces— the basket and a rack. They rinse off at best and at worst need to be wiped with a sponge. So it maybe takes 2 mins to have it up and running for the next batch of food.A few cons are that there are no settings for pork and there was only a recipe book and no real instructions. There’s been a lot of trial and error with things like bone in vs boneless chicken and pork, frozen vs thawed, pizza rolls and mozzarella sticks, pretzels, and a couple of other foods. The great thing is that you can change the time or the temp at any point during the cook cycle. So if you open and realize you’re burning the outside but the inside isn’t cooked, you can change any setting. If I were you I’d buy a meat thermometer just to be safe.Maybe it’s not as versatile as the oven style, but for a family on the go that has little time for cleaning, this is a far superior option. Just keeping my fingers crossed that this thing lasts more than a couple of months. Will update on that later.

I love this airfryer! It it large enough to cook alot of food at one time. It is extremely easy to use and I love the look of it on my counter top.I cannot say enough about how easy it is to clean. So much better than the others I have owned.

I love this air fryer. I have cooked some many things. Makes the best and easy French fries. Makes perfect bacon. Wiping the outside the Paula Deen logo in white wiped off very easily which was odd. But I had no clue you should put your air fryer on a heat protective pad. The heat from air fryer cracked my counter. The heat protective are so cheap.

Hopeless and waste of money for poorly designed piece. Grease/oil simply wiped out all the letterings on the front or menus withn 2 months of use. The handle is poorly made as it got broken within eight months of use. I glued it in place but it couldn't hold firmly. The entire fyer died in a little over a year. It's a hopeless gadget to buy. Go for a diffent brand.

So far, Salmon with the skin on is the only thing that didn't cook correctly. But over the last week, we have used this for EVERY meal and from chicken to all kinds of fried food bites and even hot dogs, this machine is big enough to cook for a family and makes the food taste sooooo good, plus it is way easier to cook in versus a pan on the stove or in a traditional oven AND faster.

The texture of the chicken was not crispy. It tasted like baked chicken which is not a bad thing but I guess I was under the impression that the skin would be crispy.🤦🏽‍♀️ I put the chicken in a filter basket on top of heating element; maybe that had something to do with the texture of the chicken.

Awesome product, great size for a family. The chicken comes out so crispy and juicy. Kale chips so easy and fast. Love it
