Hylamide Pore Delete Instant Surface Perfector 30ml

Cannot rave about this stuff enough! I got a sample of this free in a Glossybox subscription, took one look and didn't think much to it, until I pulled it out of the box again and thought I'd give it a try... Well I'm glad I did! That much so I couldn't not go on to purchase the full size after I had used my sample up! (Scraping the very last bits out!) It is an amazing mattifying surface protector, it does exactly what it says on the bottle! It really does smooth the skins texture and makes those pores invisible! It can be used under makeup or alone! Highly recommend using it before liquid foundation for better results! It is an immediate result and I couldn't thank this product enough!

So this glides on smooth and makes your skin look very smooth (if a little chalky depending on complexion.) My pores and fine lines definitely looked smaller and less noticeable. But this is NOT a good makeup primer. I've tried it with several different types of foundation and even just concealer and it doesn't let makeup glide on, if anything makes it look worse-- the make up gums up and sticks and looks very clumped and thick and uneven and it's almost impossible to blend across your face with a sponge or brush because of something in the pore delete. I'll continue using this product on days when I want my skin to look fresh but don't want to put any makeup on, but can't recommend it as a primer under other cosmetics.

Gave a lovely smooth look to my skin.

I think it is a good product and works as intended, you just have to do exactly as written on the package, that is (if you use make up): apply it on your skin AFTER your foundation. Do not apply make up on it, use it last and just a little bit. Works a treat.Now, on the down side, as someone mentioned before, it only looks good on fair skin. I have very light skin, not the lightest shade but close to, and I have noticed, if I put too much, it gives a bit of a chalky effect. So, I assume that it wouldn't be suitable for darker tones.Also, I do feel like it tightens my skin a bit, like if it were a bit dry (and I have rather combination skin with a shiny T-zone).

Since OC8 became hard to come by in the UK, I have looked far and low for a long-lasting product to control shine. Finally found the solution with Hylamide Pore Delete. It even works better than Hylamide's Matte 12 product, which I found did not control shine well.
