Tefal Clipso Easy Pressure Cooker, Stainless Steel, 6 Litre

The controls are good so very easy to use but I stll prefer my previous one which I had for about 15 years although the pot is not as good qaulity as the previous one this one is a lot lighter I have kept the pot from the previous one as it is handy for a lot of things. I couldn't believe the price of it how much it has jumped up in price and I still think that my previous one was a better quality. I have always had a pressure cooker since I got married 38 years ago probably because my mother always had a pressure cooker from away back in the 1960's.i was used to cooking with them. She always had the Prestige Pressure Cookers and I had a few of these but the last one I had it blew and I had mince on the walls and ceiling in my kitchen so I changed to the Tefal one and they have been very good. \they are brilliant for tenderdising the meat at high temperatures

We had our previous Tefal for about 14 years before upgrading to this model. The handles are easier to grip on this one and the basket steamer also has a handle making its retrieval easy. The only thing I'm personally not keen on are the plastic components but don't envisage any problems and most can be replaced if worn or broken; obviously the gasket seal will need to be replaced every so often. I'm particularly careful with the valve area making sure it is rinsed with boiling water to remove any remaining food or soap deposits - I wouldn't recommend putting the lid in a dish washer. The pressure cooker is used almost on a daily basis and I wouldn't be without it. In summary, it's robust, the safety features give peace of mind and I have no hesitation in recommending this model to anyone.

I found this an excellent pressure cooker in every way. Normally I feel nervous about pressure cookers, but with the Clipso I have a great deal of confidence.The only point against this style of pressure cooker that it is different in style of the other pressure cookers, therefore I find it difficult to match it up with other pressure cooker books.Could you please tell me where I can get an instruction booklet which was came with the Clipso pressure cooker as I have mislaid it.

A great addition to the cook ware. Having owned one of these previously it it a godsend when steaming the Chrustmas puds reducing the cooking time by 2 thirds. Great for making stock and if loads of veggies are required quickly. Always loved pressure cooking and this makes it easy, a far cry from when the high dome needed to be hauled over to the sink to have cold water drenched over it to reduce the pressure. This is far more user friendly and is well worth the money.
