Hotrose 86 RGB LED Stage Light Par DMX-512 Lighting Strobe Party Club

I bought 6 of these. One rattled when it arrived - the board holding the LEDs was loose. Not wanting to send it back (not worth it for the price) I decided to dismantle it to see if I could fix it (the lights did actually work). The metal holder for the lighting board was spot welded to the main frame - these had broken. I glued it back into place. However a circuit board driving the LEDs was broken in a corner where it was held to the metal frame. I examined another lamp and the circuit board was broken in the same place - in fact the screw positions did not quite align with the screw holes in the metal thus stressing the corner of the circuit board. Apart from meaning the (small) board was only held in with one screw it had no other effect. I noticed another problem - the 3 wire mains cable had the earth wire cut off just at the end of the lead where it entered the metal casing. So the metal casing was not earthed. This should only be the case if the circuitry is double insulated. The only possibility of earthing would now be via a DMX lead if it is used - surely not good practice?Overall the lights work as described and DMX control works. They were cheap, and the build quality overall is OK for the price. The lack of earthing on the metal case is a concern and I shall be rectifying this on the ones I have received.

Fantastic lights! I have these connected to my home cinema system in sound activated mode! Watching a live concert on DVD is now a very different experience! They are small, unobtrusive, easy to use and very powerful! Very good value for money.Definitely recommend.

Well-made, does the job well. Cables a bit short, but that is easily remedied.

Very good value and build quality. Many lighting options. Just had to make a round plastic disc to mount to the bracket so i could let it sit on the floor to face upwards against the walls of the venue. I guess you could also just use a block of wood to do this too.
