Great fountain pen
Like its name, a joy to use. Reliable, smooth and makes my handwriting look good. I have another and it is still writing as good as new after two years. I bought two more to make sure that I would have one of these pens whatever happened. The price is very reasonable indeed, and compared with some of the other leading fountain pens on the market the pen, the price, the sheer pleasure of writing with it, is second to none. I have been writing with fountain pens for over sixty years and this is the best ever. Lyrical.

Great pen once conquered....
This is a well-priced calligraphic pen - with which I had enormous difficulties at the outset and nearly snapped it in two. It just didn't write, until I removed the nib, and washed it and the barrel in dish soap and water - I had to soak it for two days (found the hints online, so this isn't a new problem). NOW, it works very well - but it was a bit of a palaver to go through that.I would suggest you buy the Lamy ink converter rather than stick with the cartridges - the converter seemed to help improve ink-flow (once the pen has been cleaned). If I bought another Lamy pen, I'd take it to bits and soak the parts in liquid soap and water before even trying to use it with the cartridges. Incidentally, the cartridges are almost impossible to force into the nib section all the way: pushing it in as far as you can, and then screwing the barrel back into the nib section forces the cartridges into place, after which - all being well - it'll write.

Good calligraphy pen
After the demise of the Rotring Art Pen I couldn't find anything as good until I tried this one and it is a smooth writing pen. It comes with blue cartridges so if you use black, as I do, remember to order black ones.

Just buy a safari with a calligraphy nib
Looks very arty. But all it is, is a long quill-looking pen. It takes the same nibs as the safari and AL. You can buy a safari and order it with a 1.1, 1.5 or 1.7 nib from reputable suppliers elsewhere. Save your money.

Love these pens!
Lovely to hold and look elegant. I have a few of these now and really enjoy the smoothness of flow in the ink. Well made, sturdy, easy to use pen with comfortable grip. Love that you can change ink colour with easy to change cartridges. Highly recommend.
