works very well but if it is the first time you are using, please read instructions carefully. This is very easy to use and as accurate as can be expected. Well worth the money when compared with more expensive models, and the replacement strips and needles are good priced.

Great kit, arrived the day after I ordered. The lancet pen isn't very well made though. When you pull it to lock the needle mine broke after 2 goes. I can still use it but it's not very good quality.

As a nurse and diabetic too I have used variety of blood monitoring machines. This machine is very good and gives quite accurate readings as I compared the readings with another one and it was completely matching. It comes in a little bag with 50 Lancet and 2x25 strips. Battery included plus warranty card, full instructions and a little book to record your readings. Really nicely organised.

Excellent product at a very reasonable price. Easy to use, much better than a previous different make I had been using. Also the lancet is much kinder on the fingers.

Absolute rubbish. Put the battery in, pricked my finger, applied some blood to the test strip, put it into the reader and it came up with E2 (Error 2) which could be any of three things and the manual suggests taking the battery out and then putting it back in again. Got out another lancet and test strip and tried it again. dame reading E2. I've done it five times now and the last time I put the strip in it just beeped three times and doesn't show anything on the screen.I had believed the 5 star reviews and those were the reason I bought this plus a spare set of strips and lancets. Even though everyone on the forums at diabetes.co.uk suggested I buy a Codefree meter, I bought this because the strips were cheaper. That was a learning curve. I expect I will be unable to return it as I have used it and got blood all over it from my many pricked finger, so that's £25 in the bin.I'll buy a Codefree Blood Glucose Monitor/Monitoring Testing Kit instead. I wonder if the Exactive strips will work on the Codefree if I keep the chip, then I won't have thrown away all my money.

It does not provide consistent readings. Tested 5 times in a 2 minute time period on multiple occasions. Results varied by my as much as a 1.5 mmol/L. Results are in question. Easy to use but if you can't trust the results, what good is it.

Arrived quickly and on time.The product is really easy to use with clear instructions included. Got a handy ouch for storing and carrying around too, would buy it again.
