Knightsbridge 50mm / 2" Chrome Switch/Plug Socket Screw Longer x10

I needed some long screws for fixing plug sockets after tiling. These screws arrived very promptly, are very good value compared to what you can pay in the shops, and were just right for the job. I am impressed that you can buy something that actually does what it is intended.

worthwhile buying if you're doing anything with sockets. It's really a kit bag product that you have just in case you'll need it - which i did! Inexpensive and worth keeping a few for when you need to do some work

Great product but would be improved by the screwdriver slot being slightly deeper. I had to cut the slot deeper in every one in order for my screwdriver to get a decent grasp of the screw.

What do I say? these screws are long and screw like. If you want 2 inch screws then these will do the job. Used these to put a new main cable to outdoor power. Rather than digging out the wall they allowed me to use a 3D patress over an inset patress.

This gave peace of mind during switch installation that if the switch spacer plates had to be used, this would get us out of trouble.Not used in the end, but unless you need to use 2 or more spacers together, it's unlikely you'll need them (you can easily strip the threaded tab inside the back box if the screw is too long, so be careful not to overtighten - try using the shorter screws first, then the longer ones. You might need to use a hacksaw to shorten longer screws if necessary - remember, the job of replacing a back box threaded tab is much, much more hassle!!)

Paid full price for this so no freebie, I do not give praise easily so all you get is a truthful review with the good the bad and the ugly. Delivery was slow. The screws are as described and will do the job as intended. The pack in turn represents fairly decent value especially when compared to some of the outrageous costs of the high street.

Can’t fault the product, but it didn’t do what I wanted. I needed to screw a door knob through a thick door and these were the right length, but didn’t grip the knob. It does say they’re electrical screws, so to be fair, they’re not meant to hold on door knobs!

I had a shaver socket which had been slightly loose on the bathroom wall for years owing to only having one fixing screw long enough to reach the threaded hole at the back of the deep wall box. Alll DIY stores I tried did not stock these longer screws - most had not heard of them, so I was especially pleased to get them very cheaply here.
