Botanical Line Drawing: Cactus & Succulent Edition: 200 Step-by-Step Illustrations

I've started line drawing recently and have done some of Peggy's online classes so this book was a must! I also love succulents and now I can draw them! The steps are clear and I like that the names of the cactus and succulents are also in there.

Great book and excellent breakdown showing how to draw each succulent/cactus. Love Peggys work and this is my second book from her.

Lovely book but the printing is a bit blurry. A little over priced for the quality.

Another fabulous ‘anyone-can-draw’ book from Peggy Dean. Just so awesome how accessible she makes a whole new drawing world to everyone.

I liked the step by step illustrations. Not being able to draw "recognizable" plants...this helped with getting me in that direction and visualizing the plant petals/leaves better. The variety of succulents and cactus are plentiful... I think and advanced artist would find this way too cartoony or not worth it, but for a beginner or leisure artist would find this a helpful resource.

I like how simple she makes drawing things seem. Yet I tried coming up with ideas of my own to draw or doodle without following any book or tutorial and I got stuck with maybe up to 3 variations! So I got this book to see if that would help me and it does! Now I can take her ideas as a doodling bible, make the basics with it and turn it my own by adding shading, colors, and combinations of my own creativity. It's a great book to do exercises and help you develop your own creativity. I got her first book as well because couldn't decide for just one!
