Cleaned my 1974 Schwinn beautifully!!
Sometimes “green” cleaning products leave you wondering if it’s strong enough to stack up against stronger, less environmentally-conscious cleaners. Let me put your worries to rest!! I have a 1974 Schwinn Varsity that was my bike in college and then sat in my garage for the last 8 years. As I approach 30 I better appreciate classics and decided to get the old ride cleaned and ready for a tuneup.I live in the Pacific NW and this thing saw a lot of wet, muddy, grimy roads in its heyday. There was black, sticky grease and road grime all over the chain system, derailleur and rims. I wet the whole bike with a hose, then sprayed a healthy amount of Simple Green Cleaner all over the filthy areas. I can’t explain how much the foam expands, completely covering/filling every place you spray. Within minutes the white foam was a dark brown color and the years of grime was literally dripping away. I sprayed it all off with a hose and couldn’t believe the difference!! I repeated the process one more time because it had been so long and it was nearly unrecognizable after rinsing for the second time. There were parts I’ve never seen the chrome shine like that!! I did no scrubbing (lack of a good brush that could get into the crevices) but this cleaner got 95% of the gunk off without it!!(I followed that up with buffing the original chrome fenders with Bar Keeper’s Friend, which gave them an incredible shine and got rid of all the rust. My only regret was not taking before and after pictures!!)Note: after the thorough, double-cleaning of this filthy bike I used about 2/3-3/4 of the bottle. Well worth it, but an FYI if you have multiple filthy bikes to clean.Highly recommend!!

Doesn't clean perfect, but good enough for someone lazy like me
I haven't really cleaned bike chains properly because I don't want to put the effort into taking the chain off the bike, cleaning it, and reassembling. I have tried some products in the past, but they never seemed to get the old grease off. This stuff worked really nice. Good foaming action clings to the bike chains and gears. I left it on a minute or two and then rinsed it off with a hose. This left the chain noticeably cleaner. I could tell when pedaling that the chain was moving nicer than it has in a long time (I did grease it with chain lube after cleaning).Nice and easy solution for a decent clean.

Works great to clean dirty chains
Easy to use and works really well. Just mist the bike with hose and then I apply the foam (liberally) and use a nylon brush to remove caked on chain gunk. Takes two or three applications for a really dirty chain but it gets everything off the chains and gears and the lube splatter on the swingarms comes off easily too. Great value for price

Good degreaser, but be careful with the container!
I used this degreaser once, immediately after receiving it, and it seemed to work very well. One word of caution, however: handle the container carefully. I absent-mindedly picked it up by gripping its lid. The lid instantly came off, the container dropped to the ground, and the little plastic dispenser head broke at impact. This rendered the entire remaining contents un-useable. I tried unsuccessfully to fix it with Super Glue, tried to replace it with the head from another pressure can, finally gave up & sadly threw it all away. Ultimately my fault I know, but the lid was not a snug fit and this could easily happen to another user.

Changed my entire bike cleaning process.
For three years I have been cleaning my chain with a degreasing liquid and brush machine. Spinning the chain over and over and over again getting it about 75% 80% clean. This spray/foam is so good the dirt and grease is gone in seconds.I used to use a tooth brush to clean the cassette and the brush would be ruined after one cleaning. But again, with this stuff it’s almost not required to brush because the foam does all the work.Really delighted - and also a bit annoyed that it’s not more well known. My bike looks amazing and my hands not even that dirty!

Great, But Consider Non-Foaming Cleaning Agents for Deep Chain Cleaning
This is a great and easy to use all-around cleaner, and the foaming action greatly reduces waste. I do find, however, that for a thorough clean I need to use a liquid product in a chain pig. I use this and tooth brushes to scrub my cassette, chaingears, derailleurs, and as a first pass on my chain. I then use Citrus from a pour can in a chain pig, rinse with water, wipe until clean, and finish with rock 'n' roll gold and another pass of wiping until clean. That's how I get my chain spotless. This product is great for economically cleaning all other parts and for an okay cleaning of the chain.

Love this stuff
It cleans away grease from many surfaces, but I primarily use it on my bikes because it's doesn't destroy the paint and doesn't take alot of clean up.I've even used it on light colored carpet when my bikes have left grease particles on it. That's not a thing that is suggested, but I tested it on a small sample first and was desparate for a solution. It works great!! I had a little trouble finding it, but found a great source with Random Bikes through Amazon.

Grit and grime eliminator
I use this product mainly to clean the drive train on my road bike. I also use it clean the frame. Just wet the bike down and spray the degreaser all over he frame and wheels, let sit for a few minutes, and watch the grit and grime drip away. Repeat if necessary, especially the drive train. After drying, don’t forget to lube the drive train.
