Great buckets - you really have to use the two bucket method if you are serious about cleaning cars properly and grit guards as well. These are good buckets and a decent size to fill with water. I just need to buy some wheel trolleys so I can easily wheel them around and I need to get a wheel bucket as well :)

Not cheap for what they are, but quality is very good and much better than some of the competition. Grit guards need a little trimming to get the fit just right

Reasonably sturdy, very large buckets, with grit guards specially designed for the bucket (rather than the sizable types, and which I find always seem to collapse on me!). Unlike another comment here, mine didn't come with stickers detailing 'wash' and 'rinse' - they appear to be etched on (though would need to look again) and are large and visible. Only downside is the handles, which are a bit cheap - thin wire, small handle. Price not too bad compared to some I've seen. Happy with purchase.

Two plastic buckets. Yep that's all this is. Well, two plastic buckets, with grit guards, and lids.However, if you've got car cleaning OCD to any degree, then it's well worth the purchase. If you're looking at these then you probably already know about the two bucket method, and you might be wondering if you should make the investment to prevent swirls and scratches on your paintwork.All I can say is just do it. Don't think twice. Your car will thank you. I was using two black builders buckets without grit guards on my previous car, and between each application of the microfibre mitt to my car, I had to meticulously check and clean the mitt of any debris. No longer, now I've bought these babies.The buckets are taller than most buckets you buy in DIY or high street shops, so they hold a lot of water. They need to as the grit guards take up some of the room at the bottom.If you're worried the grit guards don't work, or they'll bob up and down in the water, then put your worries away. Yes, the guards are loose, but they do seem to stay at the bottom even when moving the buckets around the car. And they definitely work, as I found a lot of gunk and particles at the bottom after I'd finished washing the car.If you don't already know, what you need to do is fill the wash bucket with soapy water (use a good car wash soap obviously), and drop the grit guard in. Then fill the rinse bucket with just water, and drop the grit guard in. Then start washing. The mitt goes in the wash bucket, and give it a good scrape against the grit guard. Wash a section of the car. Then dunk it in the rinse bucket, again giving it a good scrape against the grit guard to dislodge any bits. And repeat. Until your car is done. You did work from the top to the bottom of the car, right?When you put them away, give them a clean and dry, chuck anything you want stored in them (mitts, foam gun, cloths etc), pop the lid on and you're done. No dust, grime, spiders to clean out of your buckets at the next wash!

Great sturdy buckets, I wish the grit guards were the same diameter as the base of the bucket though! If you drop the wash mit, it will still come into contact with grit in the bucket!

It's a pair of plastic buckets so how much is there to say. They hold a lot of water. Colour coding round the rims is just tape so will probably come away in time. Grit guards have finger holes in them for easy removal - just shows that someone has put a lot of thought into what is a relatively simple idea! Another reviewer said the lids are superfluous. I don't agree. The lids keep the crap out when the buckets are stored in your garage, shed or wherever and they also turn the buckets into a useful stool to sit on when you cleaning your wheels. I've seen the other makes of the same two bucket idea at significantly higher prices so reckon this deal is good value. If I was their design guy I would have had red for wash and blue for rinse and I would have coloured the grit guards red and blue as well but hey I'm not their design guy and that would probably add about ten quid to the price.

Took a long time to arrive, 5 days over it's delivery date, buckets are a good size & sturdy but the dirt catchers at the bottom are to small so your cloths can fall down the sides into all the grit/dirt.

Won't be without these when washing may car now. Recently got into detailing my car more thoroughly and really wanted to get these buckets with the grit guards. These were excellent value for money compared to other named products and they do exactly the same thing. They are very well made, very string and do the job perfectly. If your into detailing, then these are the products for you.
