OMG..is all i can say! This was my first time attempting to make candles! Its a great learner kit..with all the instructions, and everything you need. My first candles were amazing, multicoloured ones and everything! Although, its not true you can make 20 candles, i managed to make 4candles out of one of the two wax packet provided..and one was my own melted candle..so in reality, each pack of wax can make about three candles of each shape..6in total..but the moulds are really cool, havent lit it yet, definitly worth getting just to learn how to make it. Now am going to buy my own wax, crayola scent and get creatingThe BEST 20 odd quid i spent in a LONG time! The candles came out so good im taking them for my mother in law as a gift!

Good product which the kids enjoyed using. Easy to use. The only thing is the box says can make up to 20 candles...well be aware that the big moulds are expected to be half filled to make smaller candles as no small moulds are provided. So by the time we made 5 candles I was surprised that we were well into the second bag of wax. I can see the rest of the wax making only 2 more candles, so around 7 in total. It would not make sense to make half a round candle, or half of the tall stick candle, so if I had to make the thicker candles in half that would probably be only 4 more. So I think 20 estimate is high...but then again, it could probably make 40 tea light candles. But I like the stickers, the fragrance, the colours provided which are the 3 basic colours red, blue, yellow, and the candles are easily removed.

Wicks are not so good

My 13 year old niece and I fancied making candles but had no idea how to go about it. Oh plenty of suppliers for products, plenty of videos on YouTube but we wanted a kit to see if we could do it and if we liked it. It worked. It is a brilliant kit, gave us a good grounding on what is now such an easy thing to do. We have progessed, in fact she now makes candles on her own but it all started with this kit so I can highly recommend it.

a good beginners basic candle making kit

Bought this for my Girlfriend and it's a great starter kit, you don't get as many candles as it says on the box, maybe half that but you still get a good half a dozen out of it (mold depending).Once you have made all the kit offers, Tescos Direct offer all kinds of cheap candle making accessories, wicks, molds, you name it, don't forget to get some essence for it depending what you want them to smell like.This makes candles as good as the shop, and its FUN to do :) highly recommended kit.

Bought for one of my grandkids as a birthday gift, so didn't actually use this myself. Was told it was fun and easy to use.

This was purchased as a Xmas gift for my niece so cannot actually comment on product itself at this time.
