Lenovo 4XA0E97775 ThinkPad UltraSlim USB DVD Burner- Black (Pack of 1)

Feels solidly built and worked perfectly with Windows 10. No need for the documentation, I just plugged it in to a portable docking station and it installed. The cable is only 16cm long, which minimises desktop clutter and I can't see that I'll ever want to use it further away. It's styled identically to the Thinkpad.

Recieved this today, works fine for my T450 (another T450 owner review said they had problems - keen to know what the problems are as Lenovo recommend this drive for the T450). Another reviewer said the cord was stupidly short, which is not my view as its cord is ample once pulled out to plug into a laptop. A spare cable length adapter is also supplied, but I can't see the use of that as the existing length is fine. It also comes bundled with software to rip CDs and DVDs. Haven't tried out the software yet. Hope this review helps.

I got this a few days ago works fine with Win 7, Win 10 and Linux Ubuntu 16.04. I haven't tried it with my Mac Pro yet.The cable that you see in the picture snugs in and it's very short. However they do send you an extension, so don't worry - some peeps on here failed to mention the extension.

Arrived soon after it was ordered. The package was supposed to include a chart indicating how to use the product, but it was absent. Found a user guide online and printed it out, although only one and a half pages were relevant to usage, the rest dealt with legal stuff (compliance with legislation, guarantees, etc.) to enable the company to cover its backside.Lenovo seems to be a very large and rather odd company that makes it difficult to engage with its customers. Having purchased a Lenovo laptop without a DVD player/burner I could find no advice about which of its products I should buy to remedy this deficiency and whether there might be a compatibility problem. Lenovo gives a telephone number for customer service which is the number to dial from other countries; unless you were aware of how to adapt it to dial from the within the UK you would be frustrated. But the product seems to work satisfactorily.

Works well with a yoga. I’m not IT experty but this was easy! Uses software easy to install . You get options of what region to install with all have thereafter 2 chances to change.

More solidly made than the average DVD burner/player. I used it with Windows 10 and a computer with a USB3.0 interface and it was amazingly fast. The usual reams of paper with it which I ignored, I just plugged it in with the (short) attached USB cable and it plugged and played!

Jut what I wanted. Very compact. Just connect into the usb port and it installed itself. Quality seems good, certainly good enough for my usage.DVD's played perfectly. Very pleased.

It works, not given it a proper test run.
