Q: How long can you store the eggs for if buying in advance as a present?

You can store the eggs for up to 10 years, My advice for hatching them would be to use a Still bottled water that has a PH source of 7.5 and less chlorine or none. I use the Irish water Ballygowan have had great success with that. Or even Evion Water. Also the part they don't tell you is that the tank is to small, If you could afford it a small Aquarium around 15 quid and a little heater set to 22c will guarente you Triops and Fairy Shrimp as the grow to a decent size in a matter of week.

Q: I am an avid fish keeper. Can I put these in a tank with a heater and sponge filter or will a filter make the water too clean?

A heater is advisable for them since they need 20 Celsius, however a filter may kill them. If you really do want a filter, hatch them in a smaller container until they're fully grown and then put them into the tank. If you put them in too big a tank as babies then they'll die quickly since they won't be able to find food, but one they're rather big they'll do well in a tank due to how active they are

Q: Can they breed and lay more eggs?

yes, they can. Females have an egg pouch which males will fertilise, then they bury the eggs in sand and wait for them to hatch. They need to be in sunlight and the water must be around 20 celcius
