Good sense
Sometimes, listening to and understanding the blindingly obvious is all that's needed. As a low single figure golfer who has frequently struggled with consistent putting over the years, this book has changed the way I look at this vital area of golf. Almost immediately after reading, the theories on mindset have had a positive impact on my scores, and I would fully recommend.

One day 25 putts per round will be my average!!
I bought this book on the recommendation of my club pro and was not disappointed. I play off scratch and have always felt my putting was a part of the game that was just not good enough. I am a firm believer in getting the mechanics right and this book does not go into this element of the game. The prose purely focuses on your mental attitude which is a big part of putting. I have bought the putting to win DVD from Bob Rotella and this book is a good supplement. The biggest thing to take out of the book is that putting should be fun and not so "you must make this at your standard".. it takes the pressure out of the whole scenario. My one criticism is that it is difficult to put the thesis into practice and that is where the DVD is better. Unless you have Bob Rotella stood over you it means you are constantly racking your brains to remember things he is recommending to try / execute. Great read though, especially if you are struggling with your putting and putting pressure on yourself to make putts!

This book did really help me and I did have a great improvement the very next round after reading it
I have been yipping for years now. Though I play off a 5 handicap I still had massive problems with edgy putting especially under pressure. This book did really help me and I did have a great improvement the very next round after reading it. The practical advice it gives could have been writtn in 10 pages to be honest. Most of the book talks about experiances that other golfers have had and drills that most experianced golfers will already know about. If however you are like me and just love to read anything golf related then you will love this book. I recommend it to anyone who stands over a 5ft putt and has a bad thought rather than a good one.

Best Golf book you could hope for.
By far the best golf instruction book out there, it is a nice easy read , and everything is so simply laid out. I personally did not think Harvey Penick's little green or little red books were that great, and nor did I think Bob Rotella's other books such as 'golf is not a game of perfect' and 'golf is a game of confidence came close to this one'. If you are looking to improve, buy this book. Also, it has an appendices at the back of the book which lays out all the main points you need to stick to.

Must Have Book
If you read this book and take it all on board - you WILL be a better putter as a result. My putting has improved so much that golf buddies are giving me four footers because they know I don't miss them anymore.

An easy read with lots of context to back up a simple but effective concept
The only downside to this was the repetitive nature of the 'stories' and examples that Dr Bob provides to validate his theory and assertions.

condition not as good as described
Book is readable but not in as new condition as stated. Had been written in extensively and cover was very well ribbed through heavy reading. However, as I said, it was readable and offered on Prime which makes up for condition.
