Grim Facade Mystery of Venice (PC CD)

Beautiful graphics illustrating old Venice. Good story line. Would have liked more puzzles but enjoyed the "tooing and froing" finding clues and progressing through the story line

Very diverting, moderate skill required fun revelations and some thought needed too. Didn't like the figures slightly trashy american comic book flavour inconsistent with the elegance and mood of Venice. Captures the sinister nature of Venice a treat.

Set during the plague in Venice, this is an historical adventure where you need to rescue two characters, collect objects and go through a number of scenes following a story line. Collecting coins along the way, you then use a shop to buy various items you need to solve some of the puzzles. Miss some of the coins and you won't be able to move on. There are number mini games to do which range from easy to almost impossible and some are arcade based. If you ask for a hint during a mini game it will finish the game rather than give you a prompt as to what to do. ERS are really good at drawing some detailed and realistic scenes to give atmosphere however the music is on loop so if you stay in a scene for a while you may want to mute. Two modes of play mean you can have an easier setting or expert mode and there are unlimited hints without any penalties for use or miss clicking. Big disappointment is that this is not the collectors edition so the bonus stuff is not available which would have included additional game play - which as the story ends as it does, the bonus probably involves the conclusion - and the strategy guide. Takes a few hours to complete and not too scarey so would also be good for younger gamers.

One of the best games I have tried. Graphics were great,story line was good and the whole game was not hard to complete.Great value

Has a story if that's important Good graphics not to difficult makes you think good length decent puzzles regular or expert difficulty. Would recommend.

The graphics were good but I found this game quite difficult to find my way round. Compared to other games I have purchased I would say this was more for advanced players.

Pity this game wasn't longer I loved the Venice setting and it was good to play

really liked this hidden object game. finished it a bit quick tho but don't let that put you off its worth buying

I love hidden object games I can't seem to purchase enough of them this game has great graphics which is very important to me I loved playing it
