Gorilla Glue is a polyurethane glue. When exposed to moisture, the adhesive reacts and creates a foaming action that fills whilst it sticks. Gorilla Glue has an open working time of 20 minutes. The glue is brown in colour, but dries a tan colour, and is totally waterproof. Gorilla Glue is incredibly strong, bonding all types of wood, including pressure treated wood. It also bonds stone, metal, ceramics, foam, glass, leather and more. Once dried the product is sandable, stainable, paintable and can also take a varnish. Due to its foaming action the glue gives greater coverage - up to 3 times the coverage of other glues. This glue is unaffected by extreme hot and cold and will not break down when exposed to rain and snow. The Gorilla Glue formula bonds materials that typical all-purpose adhesives will not hold, including wood, stone, metal ceramics, glass, foam and even bonds dissimilar materials. It is waterproof and temperature resistant, which means it can be used for indoor and outdoor projects and repairs. Originally used as a commercial adhesive for hard-to-glue materials. Once something is glued it will not come undone - it is set to survive years after the repair. The GRGGG60 Gorilla glue comes in the following: Size: 60ml

Does the job
Two pieces of one of my patio steps broke off. I considered cementing them back on but as the pieces weren't very large I thought I would try glueing them back. The glue was slow to come out but I managed to liberally coat the touching areas, and a day later they were firmly stuck back together. Some of the glue did expand out of the cracks, which I wasn't expecting as there are no instructions, but I was able to cut the excess away with a knife. Now I know the caveats of using this product I would happily purchase again in the future.

Works great when used properly
This glue is amazing, it sticks anything to anything. Including things you weren't intending to stick!First the ProsOnce stuck, things stay stuck, allow Gorilla Glue to cure for 24 hours and it's solid. After 2 hours, you can carefully trim excess with a sharp craft knifeYou don't need to use much at all, apply to small items with a cocktail stick, a medium coat on one surface will doe the job if the fit is good.If the fit isn't snug, apply to both surfaces.A little moisture will help with certain surfaces such as dried wood, but it will also absorb moisture from the atmosphere while it curesIt will expand into cracks as it cures, be sure to clamp pieces together to prevent it expanding them apart.Once cured, you can sand the excess down and apply filler to smooth the join if you are going to paint the itemIt has a 12 month shelf life once opened, although I am still able to use it after 24 months, but it's like a solid gel in the bottle and hard to get outIt doesn't stick to greaseproof paper very well, use this to protect your work surface and to squeeze out some glue to work with. The glue will stick to the greaseproof until it has cured, at which point it is easy to peel off. Use a small square to squeeze out some glue, then this can be folded and put in the bin before it gets touched by accident. One 60ml bottle goes a very long way. I've used about a third in 2 years and stuck all kinds of things togetherThe Cons:It's messy! wear gloves if you are not able to work with a cocktail stick to apply the glue, this will take days to get off your hands and they will be sticky for the next 24 hours. If you want to know how it would feel to be Spiderman, don't wear gloves! It's THICK, which makes it difficult to squeeze out of the bottle. The aforementioned shelf life once opened means unless you use it a lot, you're going to be buying a new bottle every couple of years. Don't buy the big bottle unless you have actually emptied a small one in less than 12 months and know you'll need it.The excess will come out of the joins, if you don't get to it before it cures, it will need to be sanded, which is an issue on pottery etc.It isn't instant stick, for the first 30 minutes - 2 hours, the pieces need to be clamped together tight or they won't stick. Also the expansion will push pieces part if not held tightly enough.
