Nice book but super heavy

I was really upset going into B&Q to purchase this book as apparently they no longer stock it (everything is online). Nearly all my friends and family have a copy and as soon as we moved into our new house it was one of our first purchases. Excellent gift for someone who has just moved house. Really easy and simple to use.

Bought for partners bday as he's rubbish at diy! Hes still yet to look through it lol but i have and looks ok for a beginner diyer!

Excellent book, clear and concise and covers all aspects of building work, this book is a must have addition to any DIY-ers library and makes a great gift.B&Q got this totally right, its just a shame they couldn't do the same with some of the timber they stock but that is another story.

I bought this as a present for a friend who is just getting into DIY. I have found that the B & Q books are excellent whether you are new to diy or have been doing work for yourself for some time. The pictures and explanations are clear and detailed.

Very useful and great breadth of knowledge. I'm a complete n00b when it comes to DIY, but was happy with wall preparation, painting, fixing doors and little odds and ends around our new house. Good tips throughout the book as well.

Very pleased with purchase! Contains simple info and help me do some actions in the house that I would never have undertaken before such as changing a radiator.
