Great to pack away with a tent, for temp repairs, not so good for heavier use.
Sew...sorry.It's not bad for the price, it's a complete kit, and it will do for a repair for canvas leather, denim etc.However when the leather is tough or thick you can pull the needle out. I've gone for a more robust one.It also loses a star as there are no instructions for it, its not "normal sewing" so spending 15 minutes you tubing for something, that is explained with the new one I got in a small sheet of paper...

Tily sewing awl.
I just received the sewing awl today. On my last one, the needle broke and it was cheaper to get the whole set again instead of just the needle I need. It held up for a long time during some heavy sewing with canvas material. Probably more my fault than the needle as I was sewing at an odd angle and putting pressure at the middle of the needle. The thread that comes with it is not much but I only got it as an extra.

Utter rubbish
The needles are blunt and cannot get through canvas, no instructions, cord is separate with no internal bobbin. Useless.

Poor quality
3 stars as it came with no instructions and the sewing needle broke on first use after 4 stitches and these were pre set holes too

Perfect for tent repair.
A very simple needle. Prime delivery, and I've just used it to stitch a canvass tent strap back together after it gave way. Thread appears to be very strong, and the straight needle went through the thick canvass strap with no issues at all. Definitely recommended.

Wasn’t ideal for my use

Great for sewing heavy strappings
Just used this last week for running repairs to our tent - re-attaching straps which had pulled loose from the tent inner. Just the tool for the job.
