Easy to use, reliable wire cutters and strippers.
This is the third similar wire stripper I’ve bought. Excellent design and well-built. Strips all common flex sizes, including the outer covering (for the outer PVC coating on flex, will just about manage 1.5mm2 3 core). I sometimes use 2.5mm2 3 core flex and that’s too big to go in for the outer covering but of course the individual conductors are stripped easily with this. Importantly, it will also strip the sleeve on twin and earth (and individual conductors, of course). The cutter and crimping tool are ok for occasional use but I have dedicated cutters and crimping tool which are easier to use and the ratcheted crimping tool gives more consistent results. As a wire stripper this is hard to beat.

Easy to use.
Handy too for stripping wires, both single and multiform. Can be tricky to use if the wire to be stripped is distorted, but if you take care it works well. Spring loaded action is generally good but occasionally the stripped insulation gets lodged in the mechanism. A gentle tap usually releases it.

Very respectable for the price
I purchased these wire strippers specifically to strip UK standard twin and earth (CPC) cable for lighting installation. I needed something quick to function and reliable and these did not disappoint.I see many on the market that are significantly more expensive and I just can't justify paying that much to try them out so gave these a try. They feel very solid and have performed admirablely.I am yet to try them on a larger variety of cable but will report back as my experience expands. So far I have used them for a large volume of lighting installs using 1.5mm twin and CPC.I found the cable strip length gauge thingy a little less useful than I would expect and tend to just move it out the way. After a few tries I can easily manage to get the strip length exactly as I want it without needing the gage anyway. The only downside I can think of is the weight. They seem a little heavy but actually that is also a positive. They seem like they will last a while. I expect I will probably accidentally damage the stripping length gauge at some point putting this in and out of a pocket. Also, there are a few sharp edges but that has not bothered me yet.

Fantastic product and well worth the money.
The media could not be loaded. Wow what a fantastic product and I wish I'd bought them years ago. I've always made do with the old type of wire cutters. These arrived just a short while ago and I was keen to try them straight away. I've done a short video as I was so impressed at how quick and easy it is to cut different types of wire using these cutters. So I've cut ring main cable, a normal extension lead type cable 13 amp and finally just to test the limits I tried an old phone cable. Absolutely no adjustments required on any of the cables, just place the cable between the jaws squeeze the handles and hey presto, the wire is stripped.

Brilliant
A great tool that saves so much time especially on fiddly wires. A real god send

Robust, easy to use for a DIY'er
Very easy to use, feels robust / well made, and hasn't failed to strip a wire first time yet. However, I'm only using it as DIY'er. The implication being my experience is not based around it being used for dozens of hours a week, thrown around toolboxes, dropped and used on all varieties / gauges of wire with gusto (i.e. a tradesman!).So, if you're looking from perspective of home DIY tasks, I've personally found it absolutely ideal.

Not great for instrument cable
I bought this to speed up making a batch of instrument and patch cables for guitar and effects pedals.I’m disappointed that it doesn’t make a clean job of stripping the outer sleeve. No matter how I set the tension it seems to chew the sleeve, not cutting and stripping it neatly. However, the inner cores are all stripped easily and cleanly. My work-around has been to score the outer sleeve with a craft knife. Works well and strips with a clean edge. Just not as convenient as I hoped.
