Fantastic!
Fantastic product. Bought for my 11 year old son as he's very interested in educational toys. Most of the parts to this kit feel solid and well made and all the connections are made using poppers (like you get on clothing) which makes snapping different circuits together a breeze and not easily broken in childrens hands. The kit also comes with a very informative booklet, which not only shows you how to build the different items, but explains clearly why things happen in a simple format which my son understood easily. The kit also encourages experimentation which kept my son going back for more after he had built everything.Well worth the money!

Make working models!
Bought for grandson who’ll be 10 next month. He absolutely loved it. Has made several models already & loves the fact they actually work. Really excellent enjoyable & educational present.

Educational toy
This box set is not as big as you would expect but it works well. Needs 4 spare fuses not just 1.

Snap & Connect
Brilliant present, it has been a terrific hit with my 9year old grandson. He has played with iit constantly since his birthday 6 weeks ago. He just loves construction type toys and with this, the cars and boats actually work. Snap & Connect are an ideal toy and i shall be looking out for more Snap & Connect kits. Excellent value.

So much to make-fun!
My 10 year old loved this item. Lots of pieces. Lots of different items to make and keep someone busy for hours. I would guess it for would be most suitable for 7-13 year olds. good value item

Disappointed
Pros - My son loves it. The set provides a fun way for him to learn something new and use his imagination. There are different things you can do with the set to keep you from being bored.Cons - The parts provided do not match the instruction manual. For instance, there are 2 propellers/fans, one red the other yellow. The manual gets them mixed up. This isn't a huge deal but for a child may be confusing. One fan cannot be placed straight onto the motor but requires the provided spiggot to be used. The spiggot in our set did not fit in the fan so the fan simply fell off the end and could not be used. Another example is the basic circuit parts which come in various lengths. One experiment (the alarm) instructed the use of 2 x 4 length parts the kit only had 1 of these. We got around this by using a 5 length part which didn't look as tidy but did the trick. But I wonder if we are going to become unstuck in some later experiments when some other required parts are not provided. The strange thing is that it's not as though there appear to be missing parts the packaging is well fabricated to house each part and there are no places for additional components so basically the manual does not tie in with what you get in the box. Conclusion - It's an ok kit. Very easy to use and children will like it. Just be prepared for some adjustments and to not be able to make everything in the manual.

A bit of a let-down after the Primary 2 kit
I had already bought the Primary 2 Electronics Kit in the same series and was really impressed by it. I thought this kit with its more practical projects (cars and boats) would be a welcomed follow-up. However I can only assume that this kit was designed by someone completely different. Many of the parts are similar or the same as in the Primary 2, but assembling the cars and boats on the supplied chassis was impossible for my grandson as the fittings were so tight (I nearly gave up myself for fear of breaking plastic components). The diagrams were not up to the standard of the previous kit, nor were the instructions. Even when assembled, the circuits were not physically up to the standard of the first set.Needless to say, my grandson soon lost interest as all he could do was watch me put the items together (unlike the Primary 2 kit, which he can't put down). Many of the experiments listed later in the booklet are identical to the Primary 2 kit.Additional components from the Primary 2 (apart from the mechanical bit such as chassis, wheels, propeller etc) include a touch pad, a photo sensor and a 'Space war' sound module.I'm hoping that by combining the components from the two kits we'll be able to design some interesting circuits of our own.

Brilliant for younger kids with supervision
My 5 year old nephew absolutely loves this. Must have supervision and he does find most educational toys for his age not very challenging so may not be right for every 5 year old but he thinks it’s great and has spent many hours playing with it with his grandad. You will need extra fuses though as itbonly comes with 2 and one blew on Christmas Day.
