Scoubidou: A Book of Lanyard & Lace (Klutz)

We have had quite a few Klutz products over the years and very few of them were disappointing. I bought this set first as a present for daughter's friend. Then my (8 year old) daughter demanded one too - as they do - and I bought a similar product from another company, but it was not particularly good. There were hardly any instructions and the actual cords were rather stiff. So we had to buy a Klutz one and it has been non-stop fun for quite a few days. The instructions are clear, there are many weaving techniques and tips to choose from, the cords are nice and flexible and have bright colours. Some accessories are also provided to turn the final product into bracelets/keyrings etc. We will soon run out of them though so am now looking for a refill...

Since few months we purchased almost 10 KLutz product and are very happy with all the sets. The books contain brilliant step by step instructions (kind of lego for girls) and material included is of high quality. We made 2 bracelets and they look really nice. My daughter is 9 years old, however she can do the bracelets only with my help as it is a bit tricky to hold the cords alone. What we also figured out that the conversion between feet and m/cm is not always precise, other than that, it is a brilliant product and amazon sells the extra cords too.

A really good starter set as you get some very long Scoubies that you can cut to the required length and a great book with new ideas - some really simple that a 6 year old could do with a little guidance to start with and some more complicated that, personally, I wouldn't bother learning! How to Scoubie a biro pen (cool!), how to Scoubie your flip flops (cool!) and a large selection of bracelet designs.Not many colours but brilliant being really long.

I've brought this several times now, first for my 10 year old daughter & then for several of her friends. It has great projects that they (mostly) get on with on their own. It takes things on from the basic various 'worm' shapes they've already mastered into something more exciting!

Very happy with my book, was in great condition as described and even nearly all the accessories were still there.
