We are very pleased with this chewable treat
Our dog is an aggressive chewer and most chew treats last him just minutes. We are very pleased with this chewable treat. Bought the medium for my Boston terrier and since he chews so much it's perfect. This one is a week old and he loves it. Other dogs his size may need a smaller treat, but medium is perfect for us. I'm ordering more!!

Seems to be going downhill....disappointing.
If I had posted this review a few weeks ago it would've been a 5 star one. However, the last time I ordered one of these bars it came completely white, not beige, and had a horrible smell to it. To be clear, I have purchased close to five of these bars in the past and have never had any problems with them (we absolutely loved and raved about them!). I called Paras Pets and the lady on the phone was very helpful and offered to send a new bar as a replacement. A few days later (today) the new bar arrived and it was even more white than the first one was. It felt dried out and rough, unlike every other bar I have ever purchased from them. I decided I must've been mistaken about how it was supposed to look and gave the medium bar to my Jack Russell Terrier who's previous medium bars have always lasted him months. It took him one bite to snap the bar and take off a few crumbly pieces. I took it all away from him to inspect the bar and noticed that it was all flakey, dried out, and much lighter than the usual medium bars. Not at all the same texture as before, I was sure. I called Paras Pets again and this time I got the brush over from the lady on the phone who said that not all bars are the same and that this was totally normal. It seems to me that they are just sending out old bars in an effort to get rid of them. I'll be purchasing one more bar to give it one last chance but I doubt I'll be buying any more from Paras Pets anymore. I'll be switching to the Himalayan dog chews from now on which is a shame because we used to rave about this product to all of our pet owning friends.

!!!!! HEALTH HAZZARD FOR YOUR PET !!!!
This is probably THE WORST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN SOLD FOR DOGS!!! Seriously what was the company thinking about?? My one dog is a heavy chewer which is why I purchased this product. However, the brick of "stuff" chips off in GLASS LIKE SHARDS WITH VERY SHARP EDGES!!!! Thankfully I was leery after opening the product and was there with my dog when she chewed it for the first time...she stopped after her first chew, She acted strange, whined and coughed. She had several cuts along her gums and probably in her throat!!! I was concerned enough that I called my vet who cautioned me to watch her very closely for a few hours to be sure she was able to drink etc. The Vet also stated that she has had numerous clients who had very serious injury to their dogs from this product and had gone so far as to CALL THE COMPANY AND WRITE THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. My Vet now has a warning notice for this product in their waiting room on a board they created for this type of thing.

My lab, who eats EVERYTHING, dropped it as soon as he took it from me, then walked away from it. I later saw him playing with it, but it lasted a LONG time, not because it took him a long time to eat it, but because he rarely picked it up. For the price, I would probably just go with a bunch of bully sticks.

Bye Bye $10.
My wife and I were looking for a stress reliever for our eleven year-old retriever mix. A chew treat sounded like something she would enjoy, but we knew from past experience that she is a very strong chewer--far stronger, in fact, than her Rottweiler "sister". Milkotein sounded like it might be worth a try, since one reviewer said even the smallest size was tough enough to keep her big dog engaged for hours. We didn't want to bet $15 on a large one, so we bought a medium bar.Less than five minutes after we gave it to her, she had split off a chunk amounting to over 10% of the bar, then bit that (sharp!) piece in two. We collected the remaining bar and the pieces and threw them all in the trash.I don't have an alternative to recommend--we haven't found anything that our dog can't destroy. Just be aware that if your dog is a very strong chewer (for some unquantified value of "strong"), this treat might not survive long, and the pieces it breaks into have very sharp edges.

Milkotein
The item arrived on time. We use this as a training tool for our heavy chewer. He is 11 months and going strong...we offer this in place of the rocking chair leg. He will chew this product happily until we take it away. We do not leave him alone with ANY CHEW PRODUCT! This has worked well so far!

Dog isn't sure about it
My dog isn't quite sure of this new bone. She carries it around in her mouth but won't chew on it.I put it away for a few days and give it to her again and she does the same thing. Don't know if she is ever going to chew on it.That's the only reason I gave it a three. Not sure about it yet.

breaks up
My puppy really liked this chew but fairly large sized pieces kept breaking off and I was afraid she wouldn't digest them. I ended up taking it away from her. That's why the 2 stars. I don't have this problem with the Himalayan chews.
