Nitecore CU6 Torch - Black

There are plenty of excellent reviews for this torch online and this could just be another one except I will mention one or two things that perhaps most of the other reviewers omit. First the usual things, The white is bright and adjustable through a number of steps including one that isn't mentioned in the instructions; a 'Firefly' mode, which is even lower than the moonlight setting. To access this mode, press and hold the right hand (colour LED) rubber switch and turning on the torch via the tail switch. The torch will now come on as expected in the UV mode. Press the left hand rubber (white (LED) switch and the firefly mode will be activated. This mode can be stored for next use by simply turning off the main tail switch. The strobe also has several hidden modes which can be accessed as follows; Turn on the tail switch and select the white LED, now hold the left hand rubber switch for a second and the strobe mode will change through several different types of strobe incl. an SOS and a Beacon mode. Note, these aren't stored and must be selected each time they are required.The next thing to mention is something I haven't seen others mention and at first I thought it was a fault. In the UV mode the adjacent white emitter appears to glow orange - almost as if it is on but not working correctly. I took me several minutes to realise that in fact it was the mount behind the white LED is fluorescing from the UV reflecting off the rear of the glass. I tested this using another 365nm UV light and indeed it glows even more brightly orange under direct UV light. This isn't something that affects the output and as the instructions advise against looking directly at the UV light most probably won't notice it anyway but it is not a fault, merely a quirk of the design.In all other respects the torch is as advertised and as reviewed elsewhere. The holster is of good quality as are the accessories, I admit I would have preferred the tactical grip to have been metal but it is a good solid plastic material. That's my only minor gripe.

Love this torch - purchased as a backup for an 8 year old identical model that has been used and abused on three world tours.The UV function gets daily use and is impressively bright, as is the white lamp. The pair of RGB LEDs are useful but nothing to write home about.Unlike my first purchase, this particular item didn’t come with a charger or battery - but I think it was cheaper than the “complete package” available here and I just assumed I was getting a good deal. Be sure to carefully check the description before buying.Uses include Geocaching, checking UV marked inventory and finding/editing illicit backstage graffiti in arenas worldwide.

Very pleased with this torch. Seems tough and well made. The red, green and blue lights are good if you need to get about at night and dont want to wake others up. I see myself mostly using the coloured lights when camping. The white light has four settings from dim to very bright which is good if you dont need bright to save battery. I dont yet know how quickly the batteries discharge but i got recargable with a spare so not worried about that. Its a nice small size to fit into a pocket or clip onto a belt with the clip provided. Also a wrist strap included and a good strong pouch which you can attach to a belt without needing to take the belt off and a D ring as well for clipping onto a carabina . Everything is well thought out and well made.

The product itself is a fantastic piece of kit, sadly it was missing the batteries that are advertised as being included by the manufacturer. This was resolved quickly by Amazon.

I purchased this torch to experiment with UV photography, all I can say this iterm is brilliant. the bonus of a powerful white light torch and several distress signals make this a must for trips into the countryside sometimes at night.

Excelente linterna, llego el pedido a tiempo, pero al abrir la caja, el estuche de la linterna estaba abierto, al parecer no faltaba nada, pero, pues te deja la duda.

Die Taschenlampe wurde hauptsächlich wegen des UV-Lichts gekauft und überzeugt hier auch auf ganzer Linie. In einem dunklen Raum erkennt man großflächig fluoreszierende Spuren, selbst in mäßig beleuchteten Räumen funktioniert das Licht noch hervorragend.Die restlichen Lichtmodi - mehrere Helligkeitsstufen Weißlicht, Rot-,Blau-,Grün-Licht, Strobo,SOS sowie Polizeilicht machen die Taschenlampe quasi zu einem Alleskönner.Die maximale Helligkeit des Weißlichts könnte zwar etwas höher sein, für alltägliche Zwecke allerdings absolut ausreichend.Die Bedienung ist intuitiv und die Verarbeitung fühlt sich hochwertig an, zudem liegt diverses Zubehör bei.Die beiliegenden Batterien hatten bei mir keine lange Lebensdauer, allerdings würde ich sowieso zur Nutzung von 18650 Akkus raten.Zusammenfassend bin ich mit dem Kauf durchweg zufrieden und werde mit Sicherheit im Laufe der Zeit weitere Lampen dieser Marke kaufen.

Comprata principalmente per la luce UV. È l'unica torcia UV da 3000mw reali che ho provato. Funziona benissimo.

Lampe excellente, pour tous travaux. Il faut acheter surtout des piles rechargeables et le chargeur. Grosse économie de piles et acheter surtout la même marque.

値段の割には機能が盛り込みでいいんだけど青色LEDと緑色LEDが片方づつしか照らされなくて照射位置がづれるもしくはレンズを付けてほしかったＵＶライトももう少しパワーがあってもいいかもせっかくリチウム電池使えるのだからあとヘッド部分はもう少し小さくならないのかなぁグリップ部分が細いのでギャップがありすぎる回路をもう少し工夫して筒の太さを同じにしてほしい。
