RectorSeal No. 5 Sub-Zero pipe thread sealant is a low odor, non-staining, soft set thread sealant for use where low temperature application is a requirement. It is brushable to -35-Degree F. Review: Not good - Did not help with the leak and takes a long time to set Review: Good for brass and propane - Quite a bit in the bottle and many uses listed I hadn't considered. I applied this at 45°F on brass pipe and fittings and there were no gas leaks twenty minutes after applying, either by smell or soap bubbles. The weather here reaches -32°F in some decades.
