SANSUN LED Grow Light for Red Blue Indoor Plant Lights and Hydroponic Full Spectrum 15W Plant Grow Light [Energy Class A+]

My cacti, lithops and baby Baobab tell me they absolutely love this light - they are rewarding me for the purchase by going greener, bigger and more prickly than ever. It genuinely seems to have improved their lives through the short winter days, and they are all playing together happily again. We're going to try it on a relative with seasonally-affective disorder, too, to see if it can make her less prickly.

First impressions are good. My daughter is about to start keeping tortoises. She wanted to grow some winter fodder for them and the seedlings were all leaning towards the window where the sun shines in, so she was turning the trays round every day. They now all grow upright towards the growlight.

I purchased two of these SANSUN LED grow light panels here on Amazon in late December of 2016, along with LED grow light panels from five other brands/models, to test them all for suitability for my unique purpose, as I planned to use the best of the lot for 24-hour use in a lightbox/incubator for growing photosynthetic microbes in a liquid fermentation in transparent plastic bottles for ultimate use as a probiotic nutritional supplement drink.Of the six brands/models of LED grow light panels that I purchased for testing, the SANSUN LED panels turned out to be the most suitable for my needs in terms of light spectra. Both of the SANSUN LED panels that I purchased in late December have now been in constant use for the past 2+ weeks, and they are working very well, and are also very reliable, even in 24-hour service (that is, they are turned on 24 hours per day in the lightbox/incubator).In fact, I am so impressed with the first two SANSUN LED grow light panels that I purchased about 3 weeks ago that I recently ordered two more of them from Amazon!The panels are very well-constructed. One more thing that impressed me about these panels, compared to the other five brands/models of LED grow light panels that I purchased, was that the packing box for each panel was well-labeled on the outside as to brand/model name, as was the panel itself, and each box contained a full-sized (that is, 9.5 inch x 11 inch) glossy multi-color information sheet (aka package insert sheet) describing the panel and its specifications, along with some relevant photos and instructions for hanging the panel (BTW, in my particular application, the panels are mounted vertically rather than hanging in a horizontal position, so I did not need this particular info). Most of the other brands of grow light panels did not contain information sheets at all inside the box, and the one brand that did contained a tiny slip of paper measuring about 3 inches by 5 inches, with very tiny font. So, the SANSUN LED panels won hands-down in the information sheet area as well!Starting a few days ago, I was so impressed with the performance of these panels in my lightbox/incubators that I "borrowed" one of them from where it had been installed in an earlier-mentioned lightbox/incubator and hung it about two feet above a large round indoor planter containing 4 strawberry plants (yes, we manage to harvest luscious large strawberries all winter long from indoor strawberry plants...!) that had been struggling a bit under a linear bar-type LED grow light. Within a day or two after my having placed the SANSUN LED grow light panel above the strawberry plants, they started to show a noticeable improvement.Although I have already purchased four of these SANSUN LED grow light panels, I am so impressed with them that I will likely be purchasing even more of them over the next few months.BTW, while the Amazon product page lists the power draw of each panel as 15 watts, the actual measured power draw in most of these panels is about 12 watts. Of course, due to the measured power factor (PF) of 0.60, the power draw as measured in VA is around 19.6VA (it varies a bit from panel to panel). [Note: all measurements of wattage, VA, and power factor (PF) were made with a P3 P4400 Kill A Watt Electricity Usage Monitor digital inline meter.Late Update Note, as of Feb. 3, 2016:Well, I have had the original two SANSUN LED light panels in full-time use (that is, on for 24-hours-per-day) for over 5 weeks now, and they are still working fine. The media could not be loaded.  Molto leggero, facile da maneggiare considerando che è molto sottile. Lo si installa con una facilità assurda dato che si tratta di 4 viti da mettere insieme ed usare il gancio (in dotazione) per appenderlo.Il led ha colori ROSSO e BLU (maggiormente rosso) ed è molto luminoso, anzi vi sconsiglio di puntarvelo negli occhi (ho caricato il video in cui confrontavo la luminosità del telefonino al massimo rispetto a questi led per darvi almeno un'idea di quanto sia luminoso).Lo strumento ideale per coltivare piante dentro casa e massimizzarne la crescita senza farlo pesare troppo sulla bolletta della corrente, 15 watt in tutto. Il manuale è molto dettagliato, compreso di immagini illustrative che danno un ulteriore aiuto per l'installazione oltre alle informazioni relative al livello di luminosità che ottenete in base alla distanza tra la luce e le piante. Allego anche le immagini del manuale perché credo possano tornare utili. Lo uso già da 3-4 giorni e non ho riscontrato difetti, consigliato!

Took a risk and bought this light even after the reviews were a bit scattered. This light was in use for about 2 weeks. I have it hooked up to a timer; on 18 hours, off 6 hours. After about a week, the light started randomly turning off (separate from the timer). We decided it was because it had heated up too much and needed to turn itself off so it could cool off. Unfortunately today I noticed that it was not on when I woke up. I could not get it to turn back on. I tried switching outlets, removing the timer, etc. Nothing seemed to work. My tomato plants enjoyed the light while it worked, but for $20, this was not worth it for only two weeks of use.

The lighting system is awesome in several respects. Firstly the color enhancement afforded by the system causes the hues and color of the plants to change in a beautiful vibrant way.My friends can't believe it. African Violets take on a whole new perspective. There is so much to be said about the color changes it would take a novel to really do it justice.I have some friends that will sit and stare at the beauty the lighting system creates. Understand the system was built in my fireplace which is a closed environment therefore the lighting effects are more pronounced. It's difficult to really appreciate it without seeing it.Of course it is a work in progress and I will be purchasing two more to finalize the project. Some really awesome rocks and minerals along with reflecting bottom top and sides produces such a wonderful effect. I must admit it's becoming an obsession and other people are adding different objects. One item added was a clear Crystal figure that causes the lights to bounce in several directions which makes for a beautiful scene.The creative ways to make beautiful scenes with the SANSUN system is limited to one's imagination.Last but not least the customer service was the best I have experienced, keep up the good work.Sincerely and best wishes.

Worked great for about 2 hours, then started flickering on and off and eventually just quit all together. The company sent me an email and asked how I liked it, when I told them my problem they never replied. So I returned in through amazon. Since then they sent me another email asking me to leave a review. here it is. I'm not sure if it was a faulty wiring, or what, I wish it had worked. It seemed like it had good design, nice and bright lights when it was working.
