BTR Backpack Cover 100% Waterproof & High Visibility. High Viz Rucksack Cover With Reflective Tape

Disclosure: I received a complimentary sample product in exchange for a fair, honest and unbiased review Over the years I have used many cycling products from BTR and found them all to be of good quality and offer very good value for money. This backpack cover is the latest addition to my range and offers the same high level of durability I've come to expect from BTR. It's made from quite a lightweight yet tough polyester in bright, hi-vis yellow (orange and pink also available) which stands out in all daylight conditions while the stripes are highly-reflective in vehicle headlamps making the cyclist or walker highly visible - and unmissable which is so important in dark conditions. Previously I used a cyclists' high-vis backpack but although bright in colour, it had only one narrow reflective strip making it far less visible at night which is insufficient for our black country lanes, nearby busy roads and death-wish dual carriageway. I stuck on some further hi-vis reflective adhesive tape strips but following heavy showers, they gradually peeled off. This hi-vis backpack is the answer, a purpose-made alternative and can fit onto virtually any backpack so no need to buy a specific backpack for sporting activities and, when not required, can simply be folded up small and carried inside with its 150g weight being un-noticed. The cover in its unstretched form measures 47cm long x 37cm wide but it can adapt to fit virtually any backpack. The outer edge is elasticated all-round to fit over the backpack and two fully-adjustable straps hold it securely in place. When the backpack is removed after a ride/walk/jog then it takes only seconds to pull the Velcro-straps apart and remove then replace the backpack and there is no need to adjust your own backpack or straps to fit the cover. The cover can prevent easy access to outer pockets of the inside backpack but the designers have thought of this and included a 15x15cm elastic-topped, Velcro-fastening mesh pocket on the outside for water bottles or gloves etc. During my period of testing this backpack cover enduring the gales and heavy rain of December 2015's Storm Desmond, I also discovered that the cover is waterproof - or perhaps not wholly waterproof but it will certainly withstand heavy showers hence it also adds a valuable extra layer of weather-protection to your backpack whether used for walking, biking, climbing or any other outdoor activity. Also, if your expensive backpack is at risk of damage then adding one of these offers additional protection and it can be far less expensive to replace a cover than an expensive high-performance rucksack. I would consider this high-vis backpack cover essential for all road cycling/jogging to be seen and be safe.

Unlike other covers that I have bought this cover actually covers the whole bag and is waterproof! The Day-Glo and reflective detail really ensure visibility. The only slight gripe is the drawcord fastener doesn't very grip well however that was an easy fix and soon remedied with a more secure fitting. As ìndicated on another review the rear light attachment loop is flimsy so best to put the light in the rear pocket. Overall an excellent well made product and very good value for money. Will definitely be looking at more BTR products in the future based on this purchase.

best bag cover out there ,this really covers all my bag and is waterproof to boot ,i got caught in a monsoon !! and the cover kept my bag bone dry ,it is very bright and the reflectives are superb ,now the small things ,the strap which runs up the back of bag is simply not long enough when empty it's just enough but when bag full nowhere near,so i've added an extra piece of velcro now it's fine also the rear light strap is useless ,what i've done is put rear light in the mesh pocket ,all in all i'm recommending this bag cover despite the small "things" !! zmf

I have been using this product commuting 3 times a week for the last 3 years. The quality is brilliant and there are no signs of the stitching failing or any bits peeling off. I very rarely write reviews but this product 100% deserves it.

Lovely cover - excellent quality just simply not big enough for the purpose we need. My daughter is about to do her good DofE and needed a new rainproof cover - love the fact that this is so reflective and like the pocket - just doesn’t fit over her 50 L rucksack - and that’s before it’s been fully filled. The straps are Velcro - but it isn’t long enough to meet the top Velcro strip. Great shame I’ve had to return it. This is the large I ordered - big enough for a large school/work back pack - just not big enough for a 3+ day hiking trip. Tried to locate the XL but can’t track one down

A great fit for my granddaughter's backpack, kept her school bag dry (tested walking home in a thunderstorm!) love that it has straps to hold it in place as well as a drawstring. Great value for money, would buy again.

Very good Hi-Vis and Weather Cover for backpacks. Very easy to put it on. Highly visible. The only thing to address is the straps or Velcro and on my opinion it’s a poor choice because if your are using this cover daily the Velcro will be gone in no time. A part of this little concern everything is great.

Très bon couvre sac pour le vélo. Il a l'air étanche, solide, très visible la nuit. Pour les tailles, attention. Il est petit. Il est indiqué dans la notice que cela convient aux sacs larges, et non allongés. Pour la taille REGULAR medium, c'est juste pour un petit sac 25L peu rempli avec un dos de 42cm. La bande scratch a attacher sur de dos mesure 47cm moins 2cm pour le scratch = 45cm maxi. Pour la taille LARGE, pour un sac 35L allongé (dos de 55cm), c'est trop petit. La bande scratch a attacher sur le dos mesure 52cm moins 2cm pour le scratch = 50cm maxi. La bande scratch sur les lanière mesure 20 cm ce qui permet de bien serrer si le sac est petit par rapport au sursac. Pour les sac à dos de ville, la taille LARGE me semble plus adaptée

I purchased the yellow large backpack to cover my daughter's full size backpack that she uses for college. It covers the top and front perfectly, which we needed after she experienced a rainstorm and her umbrella did not fully cover her backside. The sides could have been a tad wider, but it fits snuggly. After looking at other similar products like this, I'm most impressed by the criss cross velcro design that BTR uses to secure it in case of windy weather. The bright color and reflective design gives us the assurance that she'll be seen at dawn and dusk while walking to and from the bus stop.

Der Regenschutz kam schnell und ich konnte ihn gleich am nächsten Tag im Regen testen. Mein Rucksack ist prima trocken geblieben, die Farbe ist schön auffällig (perfekt für den Straßenverkehr) und der Schutz lässt sich einfach und flink drüber ziehen. Ich hatte due Größe M bestellt und es passz perfekt auf meinen Rucksack :)

Lo uso en la mochila de la moto, tiene buena visibilidad, se adapta perfectamente a la mochila.

Prodotto eccezionale. Ottimi i materiali e le rifiniture (cuciture comprese). Perfetta impermeabilità. Misure, nel mio caso, adatte allo zaino. Il disegno è talmente ampio e la catarifrangenza dello stesso talmente buona che, pur essendo nero, anche in casa, gli basta un minimo riflesso di luce per vedersi alla perfezione. Avendolo preso nero è anche molto bello e dà un tocco di stile "urban" che non stona nemmeno se viene usato per spostamenti in città (casa-ufficio per esempio). Un prodotto che consiglio senza ombra di dubbio. AGGIORNAMENTO: Acquistato nel 2021 e ancora oggi, nel 2023, è perfetto nonostante la pioggia presa; catarifrangenza eccellente come all'inizio. Confermo validità del prodotto!
