Sydney White & Sonoma Oak Large 2 Door TV Cabinet 140cm Unit

I would of given this item five stars if it were not for the plastic handles, yes they can be replaced with handles to suit your personal choice, but plastic handles, I think really detracts from the excellent quality of the rest of the product.This is perfect for a 55" TV as it fits comfortably with no overhang at either end, leaving the TV about 3" inboard at both ends,, so neat, tidy and perfect on the eye.This was an easy item to assemble and looks really good in the living room and it hides the abundance of cables that I have behind the unit and there are plenty, with a sky receiver, freeview recorder, blu ray player and a 5.1 cinema surround system all onboard the unit with the TV on the top and not one cable can be seen, which leaves it all nice and clean looking from the front.There is a good size hole pre drilled in the backboard to get plenty of cables through and room to add another if you so wish. The storage within the two cupboards is excellent, you can get plenty in them, I was quite surprised how much room there was.The cupboard fronts are matt white and not a gloss finish, but that is what we wanted, if that is a problem they can be easily painted to the colour that you so wish anyway.We have had the unit for two years now and it still looks as good as it did when I first made it up, solid, colourfast and perfect. This product was purchased to accommodate a new 43" television, a bose cd player and a table lamp on top. However, the bose was placed on the lower shelf with the tv box on the upper which then gave more space for the tv itself, the lamp and our relocated house phone. The two cupboards are also a useful size. In my opinion I enhanced the unit by fitting four 4" chrome legs to lift it off the carpet. Very pleased with the outcome. It was not too difficult to assemble which I managed on my own. Not bad for an 80 year old guy.

Great piece of attractive furniture which is quite easy to assemble if you follow the instructions. Delivery was very quick and one item was damaged but DRP sent a replacement immediately - excellent customer service. As this unit was for the bedroom, the TV is a bit low for watching in bed. I solved this by putting a wooden box cube from Argos under the TV. There is plenty of room for my HiFi speakers either side of the TV and the shelves house the amplifier and DVD player nicely. The two cupboards are very useful for holding my headphones, DVD's and CD's.

Lovely product. Had to change the handles as they were a cheap plastic ( hence the 4 stars) but apart from that very nice

Some of the plastic caps to cover screw holes were missing, half the nails for the back of the cupboard were split and one of the plastic legs is slightly shorter than the others. If I wasn't in a rush to get a cabinet for my TV, I would have returned the order and looked around for another. Overall the cabinet is okay for what I temporarily need it for but wouldn't recommend.Updates on dispatch is quite shoddy as well, the cabinet is still showing on my account as dispatched, yet it arrived yesterday (3rd) when delivery was expected 4th-6th Jan so had to rearrange delivery.

I bought this large TV console (Sydney White & Sonoma Oak Large 2 Door TV Cabinet 140cm). It is easy to assemble, though it may take a bit of time if you are doing it alone. It is sturdy and modern looking. It fits well in my sitting room, supporting a very large TV. I am very happy with it. Highly recommended if the style suits you.

Panel quality not great and build instructions poor.

A great piece of kit, Came a day early, I live on my own so assembled it all myself, Take your time and it all falls into place, Moving home soon and will look great with my TV and stuff on top, The packaging was more difficult to unwrap than it was to assemble....lolJust too add, I've now bought 4 seperate brushed chrome legs and fitted to the unit, I'm so chuffed with this product i'm gonna have a few beers.
