Amazing.
Easy to apply, and to get a smooth finish. You must read the instructions carefully though to get the best result. Good videos on U Tube show you how to apply.

Perfect product
I took down a rectangular wooden curtain rail which was fixed by 5 nails. Not only were there 5 big nail holes, the wall behind the wood was untreated and a cm or two uneven from the rest of the wall.I tried a number of fillers that didn't do the job. Then I read somewhere to try this filler. It's amazing. You really can brush it on. Which on a 5 foot curtain pole was just what I needed. The instructions are pretty clear. It takes 24 hours to dry. Which is annoying. And there are two steps to do after 3 and four hours. It's simply smoothing the finish twice before it drys.I didn't bother as it was such a big hole, and I knew it would need sanding. After doing so, and then painting, the finish is perfect. You can't see anything of the large hole

Wonderful product, let down by the delivery.
Like other customers have experienced the tub was damaged on arrival. Hard bits had formed inside the box and also had stuck to the small tub of wood filler in the same box.Fortuantely I had a near empty tub of a product I was to prepared to discard so I transferred the contents from the damaged tub.Have been using Polycell finishing skim for years. The beauty of this product compared to other fillers is the ease of which it can be sanded smooth. Can be used on plaster or painted surfaces and sanded down with a fine sanding block without too much effort. Curing time is quick, a few hours. Allows you to fill deeper imperfections in layers quickly.

Wow this is amazing for repairing old tired walls
Well what can i say, I wasnt sure about this, but i got old cottage which the walls were very tired and pitted. Old tile marks, general stuff going on with them. So I repaired them with this, and found so easy to sand flat. Then discovered if you apply it and maybe leave so just starting to dry out, get a good piece of paper roll or similar and buff the patch even slightly dampen the edges smooth out without the messing dust sanding later. I had to repair couple places few time but it was very very badly damaged walls. But now you cant tell. I repaired a full corner in my passage which i thought was beyond repair and needed a need edging bead. I wont use anything else now this is the best ever product for filling. Its so much easier to work with against to polyfiler. instructions sounds scary like leave 4 hours then use a dampen brish etc nah you dont need to do that. Do it my way and i think you will be impressed. Given couple coats paint and job done ! one tub goes a long way too. good value for money

Good product
Having never tried to skim a wall before i think this product has done a pretty good job . I spayed the wall with water before applying as recommended for powdery dry surfaces. Painted on easily with a paint brush then provided plastic spatula did a good enough job of making a fairly smooth surface . 2 hours later i went back smoothed of the rough bits with a wet paint brush then went back over any uneven parts with more skim using the plastic tool . Im happy with the results it should i hope look fine once painted.

Application instructions are just WRONG
So here we go again with Polyfilla products....Firstly, the tin says it includes an applicator. This is illustrated on the tin as a nice wide and seemingly useful tool. False advertisement. What you get instead, is this tiny little flimsy latex applicator. It is impossible to do a good job with this.Secondly, the application instructions will NOT result in a smooth finish. For starters, this stuff dries a lot quicker than it claims. Instead of 2-3 hours before going over it again to smooth out track lines, it is more like 30 minutes. And then already you have to spray water on it otherwise it just creates a crumbly mess.It then goes on to say that after about 4 hours you can wipe it with a cloth to create a perfectly smooth surface. The opposite is in fact true: it roughens the surface to the point where it may be necessary to remove everything and start over. What you will need to do any kind of decent job is a plastering trowel. This product promises a lot, but utterly fails to deliver.

Fantastic product
I've never used a product like this before but I found this very easy to use. Full and easy to follow instructions on the container. The little tool it comes with is perfect. Its small, so novices like me can control it easily, and its flexible so you can't put too much pressure on the wall and mess up your hard work. I had to repair some danaged plaster and used this over the top of the repair, to give it a flat, smooth apparence. A coat of paint over that and nobody can tell there was ever any damage at all!! Highly recommended.

Does what it needed but the spreader was tiny!
Using the product was great, easy to use. Left it overnight before doing the sanding down. All good with that, the only thing was that the spreader was so small it would not cover the rail that was pulled off so had to use a different tool which was a lot wider to skim it much better. Apart from this, good results.
